RILEY'S POV
After school, Donovan offered to drive Ally and I home, so when we got in the car, I sat in the back with her and she had a look on her face.

"So, how was your weekend?" Ally asked.

"Actually pretty good." I answered.

"Did you...?"

"No! We're just friends!" I insisted.

"Donovan..." Ally pushed.

"We're just friends, Ally. Nothing happened." He confirmed while driving.

"Did anything interesting happen?"

"Not really." I said.

Then, she tilted her head as she looked at me.

"Is that Ethan's hoodie?" She asked.

"You're wearing it?" Donovan chuckled.

"Shut up, I was in a rush." I glared at him.

"I'm lost." She said.

"That's my hoodie, I gave it to her during the weekend."

"Oh really?" She grinned.

"Yes, I was cold." I laughed.

She was about to make another comment, but decided not to, then she tried to get Donovan and I to say that something happened over the weekend, but it didn't work. Pretty soon, we pulled up at her house and I hugged her tightly before she leaned over and ruffled Donovan's hair.

"Bye, guys."

"Later." He replied.

"Text me." I said.

"I will."

When she went inside, Donovan drove off and I checked my phone to find a text from Ally.

-he was looking cute for you with those shades on and that muscle tee ;)

I rolled my eyes and laughed at the text, then Donovan started laughing.

"I still can't believe I did this." He said as he looked at me through the mirror.

"You offered a ride and we accepted." I laughed.

"You owe me."

"Yeah, yeah."

"I still can't believe you wore my hoodie to school either." He laughed.

"It was the first thing I could grab." I insisted.

"Oh, so you kept it out in the open where it's easily accessible?"

"Just drive."

"I win."

I rolled my eyes and texted, then he asked about my day. Pretty soon, we pulled up at my house and I got my things together.

"Thanks, kid." I smiled before kissing his cheek.

"I'm older than you!" He called as I got out the car.

"Whatever!" I laughed.

DONOVAN'S POV
I was in my room when my father walked in.

"Your brother's here."

"Great." I sarcastically replied.

My brother is the family favorite and my parents want me to be like him, but I refuse to. Besides, him and I don't even get along. I sighed as I got up and went downstairs with my father to find my older brother standing there.

"What's up, little bro?" He grinned.

"Yeah, hey, Brad."

"I heard the good news. Congratulations on the engagement."

"We're just friends." I glared.

"Who're getting married in a few years."

"Is there something you wanna say?"

"Oh, Donovan, be nice." My mother cut in.

"No, no, Mom. Let him get it off his chest." Brad challenged.

"You and I both know that you hate me and want to ruin my life one way or another. Because of you, Mom and Dad don't even trust me to make my own decisions. And by the way, that same girl that you told me was too good for me is my fiancée."

"What?" He asked as shock took over.

"You heard me."

"Good luck with that. She'll probably leave you at the alter." He smirked.

"I don't need to take this."

I grabbed my jacket and left, then drove over to my friend, Quintin's, house.

"Hey, Quin." I greeted.

"What happened, Don?"

"My fucking brother."

"Ugh, him again? What happened this time?"

"Remember that girl from like a year ago that he talked me out of dating?"

"The one we worked a month to get you to take on a date?"

"Yeah."

"What happened?"

"You have time for a long story?"

We went down to his basement and I told him the whole story.

"Holy shit."

"I know."

"How does her brother feel about this?"

"I don't know... I don't really know him."

"Jack does."

"Ally's her best friend."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah."

"Well, this'll be interesting. I was right, you two were meant to be."

"Shut up, an arranged marriage doesn't count."
