Chapter 17 Parents That Actually Want To Talk... Mmm

I woke up to an empty bed and I was okay because I knew it wasn't a dream, since Ray had left a note and a text.

"I had to go sweet pea, duty calls but I'll see you after you get home from school. In fact I'll come over to your brothers apartment! Haha I LOVE YOU!-love, your sexy boyfriend" the note said. He even underlined 'sexy boyfriend' and I rolled my eyes.

Then the text said "I know you saw that note and rolled your eyes when I said I was sexy, but, I'm YOUR sexy boyfriend and you know it's true! ;) I love you baby girl!" I smirked and replied

"I love you too, but what am I? The cute girlfriend?" I then sat my phone down and got dressed into some jeans and a black t-shirt. My phone vibrated in the middle of getting the shirt on and then I looked at it. It said:

"You my nerdy, but naughty, and sexy girlfriend ;)" I smirked again and replied

"I don't agree with nerdy anymore, but naughty, yes. So why don't you come and teach me how to be a good girl?" It was true that I used to be nerdy but after the kidnapping, things changed. I couldn't study at all because I had that thought stuck in my mind that they had killed Nathan and then would come back. I literally stayed out of school for almost a year and had to repeat the year.

I got a reply soon and it said: "oh I will. Tonight. ;)" I smirked yet again and replied "can't wait ;)" and then stuffed my phone in my back pocket and grabbed my black converse, and my brother, Liam's navy hoodie that I took from his room, after his fake death. I had also took his college one.

I walked into the kitchen and Jason was up, drinking coffee. He looked a bit nervous and pissed at the same time.

When he saw me he said "I need to tell you something." Well crap, there goes my good mood.

"The prison called and said that mom and dad want to speak to all 3 of us. Somehow they found out Liam's alive."

I froze. No I can't talk to them bastards. They were the ones who made me insecure along with the kids at school. Mostly the kids at school disgusted me like Reed and Kyle. Ew.

"Do I even have a say in this?! Those people put us all through hell! Why would you even want to talk to them? You know what they said to me after the kidnapping! I remember because I came running here and told you!" I was fuming.

"I'm sorry Skylar but they insisted we talk to them. They think it'll help them come out of trouble and crap. And no I don't want to go but we all have to. Even Cher is going so you won't be alone." I sighed. "Why the fuck when every time I'm beginning to to be happy with my life, something has to ruin it?" I muttered but Jason heard me. "I'm sorry Skylar." Yeah yeah I know he is but it isn't going to help me at all.

"When do we have to go?" I asked.

"Today. After you finish breakfast." I sighed again. "I won't be able to eat now so let's go." Jason was already dressed in a white button down shirt and black dress pants. He put on a blazer and then smiled when he saw my hoodie. "I kept some if his hoodies too." I smiled back and said "yeah. I took this one and his college one."

"So how did it go with Ray?" Jason asked as we pulled out in his Lamborghini.

"Good. Were sort of back together." I replied. He smiled. "That's great Skylar!" I looked at him, weirded at at why he was so happy. "What? Your finally happy again! Can I just be happy too?" I laughed and said "okay. Fine. But seriously your creeping me out." He laughed and said "sorry baby sister." I scowled. "I'm not a baby." He smiled and said "but you are to me." I rolled my eyes "whatever. You wouldn't be saying that though I you saw what went down yesterday with Ray." I said to scare him. It worked.
