Chapter 5 School Time

Jason drove me and the girls to school while the boys took their car and soon we were at SBHS.

I gave a kiss on Jason's cheek and said "bye big bro" and left out of the car and waited for the girls to get out before we began walking inside.

Everyone was staring. They were all whispering too and that's when I knew they were talking about the news.

We all continued walking and the girls waited near me as I got my stuff for all my classes that I have before lunch.

After that we walked off but not before Reed came up to me by pushing past the girls and asked "so is it true that you killed my father? Or is it someone else? I'm leaning towards the second. You are weak." At that I remembered me and Jason's talk and I gathered up my courage and said "no I didn't kill him but I threw a few punches and kicks." And shrugged like it was nothing and boy did he look pissed.

"And next time you all want to accuse me of something just because of the news, find the actual truth first!" I said to all the people staring.

I arrived in my first class as the teacher started lecturing crap that I don't give a shit about. I was thinking about everything that has been going on and even that mystery guy I met now a month ago since it took a while before the lawsuit was taken into action. Was he sitting in his apartment he had talked about, or maybe he was doing shipping deals. Killing people like he did when I ran away from home yet again.

"Skylar," I heard the teacher say. "Uh, yeah?" I replied "pay attention to my class please!" The women yelled. Whatever. My thoughts are less boring than your teaching. The rest of my classes drag on slowly and finally it's lunch.

I sat down with all my friends at our table with my lunch that smelled good but as much as looks can be deceiving, so can smells.

I sat between Will and Autumn and whispered in Wills ear "does that groin still hurt?" And then I laughed at his expression because it was mixed with anger, shock, probably from that a girl beat his ass and.... I couldn't decipher what emotion it was.

"Can I talk to you for a moment in privacy?" He then asked. Shocked, I nodded and followed him and he led us in an empty classroom and once the door was closed I said "okay why do you need to talk?" Will looked at me nervous so I said "don't be nervous, spit it out."

"I don't know how to say this but I like you, Skylar. Like: like you, like you." I stood there with my mouth wide open and eyes about to pop out of my head. finally when I could move I said nervously since I haven't dated ever since Him. I'll tell you that story later "I like you too." And he smiled and said "well do you want to be my girlfriend?" I smiled and said "not until you take me on the first date, bud." He smiled and said "well, challenge excepted. you are going to love our date that I planned. And then he kissed my cheek and we walked out together, not touching but close enough to.

What was this feeling? After I said yes I felt happy but yet a little sad but... I don't know why.
