Chapter 10 A Secret Untold

Williams POV:
After I left Skylar's place I went back to my house where my boss was standing outside. I lived alone now. I didn't listen to this guy the first time and it cost me my parents.

"Did you do what I said?" He asked me.

"Yes. She understood that we could only be friends. But Sir, why did I need to do that? She's not in the business is she?"

"No but someone she knows is. And so that's his property and I'm not getting on his bad side." He replied.

"Who?"

"All I know is they call him Nathan, though it's not his real name. No one knows his full name. And oh did you kill that S.O.B.? I needed him dead to get those married drug and alcohol users to stay in jail. No one hurts my fr- themselves by using drugs."

"Yeah. Mr. Carter is very dead. Though he was on the news so the police are looking for a suspect. But they'll never find anything that'll lead it to us, or the girl."

"Good Job then. I won't have to kill your friends then."

I nodded, trying to not show how happy I was that he wasn't going to kill my friends. He walked away and I went inside my house that I hated because there was no mom or dad in now. And I was completely alone. No Skylar either. She has to stay a friend just because some douche threatened to kill the people I love. I slid my back down against the wall next to the door and put my face in my hands.

My life is so screwed up.

Skylar's POV:
After a night of thinking about Nathan and then what happened with Will, I got up to go to school. I put on a white crop top that had the infinite sign on it with a black tank top under it, and some skinny jeans. Then I put my black converse on and went to get some breakfast. I made me some coffee since I didn't get much sleep and then I just ate a banana.

Jason came in when I was half way done with the banana and so I said "good morning" with a bite of the banana in my mouth and then laughed as he chuckled. He grabbed my banana and took a bite and said "good morning to you too" with it in his mouth which made me laugh harder.

After I was done I thought about Will again and decided to tell him.

"Jas?"

"Yeah?"

"Last night, when Will came over, he broke up with me."

"What?!"

"He said that he was in some shit or something. And his exact words were 'I'm in this shit and once your in it, you can get out.'" I said air quoting what he had said.

"That sounds utterly familiar."

"Nathan said the same thing in his letter."

"So they're in the same shit" we said together and then nodded.

He sighed and scratched the back of his head. "Just go to school and do your very best to forget about all this shit, okay? We will worry about it later. Just you go to school and me work okay?"

I nodded. "Well then I'll just go take the bus to school, so bye." And I hugged him. He slept in his boxers all the time so now I was used to his nakedness. I now I sounded like a pussy or whatever but it's just I never get a lot of attention from guys. That Reed dude is just a creep so he doesn't count and neither do my guy friends.

I let go and went to the city bus stop and hopped on the bus. Once I saw the nearest stop to the school I got off and walked the 2 blocks to the school.

I saw everyone but Will waiting for me by my locker. when I got there I started getting my things for my morning classes and then asked them after shutting my locker "have you seen Will today?" Everyone shook their heads but then Dylan said "he texted and said he was sick." sick my ass. He may not be a nerd or smart but he never missed a day of school. Ever. That's it. At free period I will leave early to go to his house.
