- Kageyama's P.O.V -
When I finally got Hinata to calm down from his panic attack, it was already late and considering how late it was and considering after that traumatic experience that he went through, Hinata was already asleep. Extremely tired myself, I turned off the lamp on my nightstand that Hinata had on when came into the room, I then fell asleep, curled up next to Hinata, my arms around him as if I was trying to protect him from whatever hurt him while he was away.
A few minutes after I fell asleep, I was awoken by Hinata who had a death grip on my arm. Instantly knowing or at least having a gut feeling that Hinata was having a nightmare, I began to shake him awake. Hoping that he won't harm himself during the nightmare, "Hinata, wake up, you're having a nightmare!"
When Hinata finally awoke from my shaking, he had pure fear in my eyes, his beautiful honey brown eyes were welling up with tears and quickly, "C-Can you turn on a light...? I-It doesn't have to be a very bright one... I just need a light at the moment..."
I nodded and leaned over to turn on the lamp on our nightshade even though I just turned it off. The light from the lamp emitted a light glow which visible calmed Hinata down, "It'll be okay... I'm right here, there is no need for you to be afraid."
Hinata didn't answer me but he tightly held onto my shirt as if it was his last and only lifeline, "Y-you can turn the light off now... I'm fine... Thank you for turning on the light and caring for me."
I opened my mouth to protest but I changed my mind and turned off the light, returning the room to it's darkness.
A few minutes of silence and soft breathing, Hinata spoke up must thinking that I was asleep, "You know Kageyama... I'm actually afraid of the dark."
I tightened my grip on him and reached up to run my fingers through my hair, "My love, why are you afraid of the dark?" I mumbled, pushing his orange bangs out of his face.
"A-Ah... You weren't supposed to hear that but now that you awe awake, I guess I could tell you." Hinata sat up, allowing me to reach up and play with his hair, "I have always been afraid of the dark, ever since I was young because you have no clue what's hiding in there. It really showed when I'm alone but now after what happened to me back at home, in the dark I can still hear the voice."
I looked at Hinata's heartbroken face which made my heart break as well. He didn't deserve any of this bull crap, he was to innocent for this harsh world, I didn't know what happened when he went home but I could tell that it hurt.
"It hurts Kageyama, it hurts so much!" Hinata layed back down, hiding his face in my shirt, "It hurts so much and I'm so scared."
"Hinata..." I couldn't bear to see him like this. Unable to do anything else and with one option left, "I kissed him, softly, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..."
When I pulled away Hinata's face was a dark red and he was at a lost for words, at least he wasn't crying as much.

We were all standing in a circle, stretching before we started running for practice when I noticed that Hinata had heavy bags under his yes, I can bet I looked the same because I stayed up with him, trying to calm him down. The only time that I fell asleep was when Hinata finally calmed down and fell asleep because of crying. I could only think that this was going to be a long day.
"Good morning everyone~!" Suga cheered with a big smile on his face, "Before we start practice Daichi wants us to run a few miles!"
"How could anyone be this cheerful this early in the day?" Tanaka mumbled, thinking aloud.
I didn't answer him verbally but I just nodded in agreement. I was more focused on Hinata who was on the outskirts of our little group huddle, he was practically asleep while standing up.
"Hey! I heard that! If any of you back talk me, I'll make you run even more! Now get going!" Suga snapped and began to clap at us, wanting us to start running.
As soon as we started to run, Suga fell behind to talk to Hinata, I couldn't hear what they were saying or rather what Suga had to say because Hianta didn't speak, he just shook or nodded his head to answer Suga.
After a hour of running we finished running our miles with Hinata who finished late. What worried me what the fact that you could tell that something was wrong with him yet you didn't know how to help. Everyone could tell that something was wrong.
When we arrived at the gym, Daichi had an important announcement for us, "We are going to have our very first official game of this season! We will be playing against Nekoma, so practice hard so that we can win!"
There was a mix of cheers but Hinata looked terrified, this was if first official game so he did have a right to be scared.
"Um... E-Excuse me for interrupting b-but who are the regular players?" Hinata spoke over our voices but still managed to be heard, while he was quiet, nevertheless we all calmed down so that we could hear what he was saying.
"Ah, that's right! Hinata this is your first official match! I'm so glad you asked, your main players are Kageyama, Tanaka, Noya, Asashi, Tsuki and me! Do you wish to become a regular?" Daichi asked Hinata who paled a tad bit.
"Yea! I want to see what you can do!" Noya cheered, practically vibrating.
Hinata hesitated then nodded while be began to take off his sweatshirt which revealed him wearing a long sleeve shirt, "If it wouldn't be a hassle. B-But I need someone to toss to me..."
"I could." Suga spoke up and went to go grab a volleyball, "Hinata, what position do you play?"
"Middle blocker... B-But I like spiking considering I was the wing spikier when I was younger..." Hinata mumbled, getting into position.
"How can you be a middle blocker? You're so short!" Tuski questioned, his sarcasm showing.
"I-I may be small but I can jump!" Hinata said as he looked at us and smiled which made me smile softly.
"You ready Hinata?" Suga said, twirling a volleyball on his finger.
When Suga tossed the ball into the air, Hinata dashed towards the net and jumped up, beyond higher then anyone on this team could. But when he jumped, his shirt rode up, showing a glimpse of his malnourished body and some faint cuts. I don't think anyone noticed it because everyone was focused on watching Hinata jump. I was amazed on how high he could jump up, he could jump pretty high but I rather think that he was flying.
