- Hinata's P.O.V -

It wasn't even the weekend and I went home. Heck, it wasn't even a week after I went home and experienced that traumatic experience. Though Natsu texted me saying that it was a family emergency. Did my step-father finally get arrested or was he still there, was he still at home now abusing my mother in place of me? Or did he kill them and just posing as Natsu to kill me as well? Nevertheless, I needed to go to home no matter what is going on, no matter the outcome, my family needed me.

But what was also on my mind was everyone back at Karasuno, I did leave a not for them, all it said that I had a family emergency and that I'll be back in a day or two before our game with Nekoma. The note that I wrote was extremely vague, I hope that could understand with my messy and rushed handwriting. I'm sure that they would understand me leaving on such short notice even though we have a game coming up. This is important to me, really, really important.

When I arrived home I was greeted with my step-father punching me in the shoulder. Then snuffing out his cigar on my neck while I was down, "I thought I told you to never come back here!"

I winced in pain, the cigar ashes burning against my pale skin, "Where are they? Where my mom and Natsu? What did you do to them? Tell me!"

My step-father just smirked and started another cigar and tapped it so that the cigars ashes fell onto my arms, "I did nothing, they just me. Those assholes, I guess that you will have to take their punishment along with yours."

I didn't say a thing, I didn't know what to say. All I could think was how happy I was because they finally got away. But why wasn't he in jail?

"Oi runt, how long are you going to be here?" My step-father kicked me a few times in my gut and then pulled me up by the hair so that I was looking him dead in the eye.

"For three days..." I mumbled. It was currently Thursday and our game with Nekoma was on Wednesday so I had to get home on Tuesday or earlier. But only with my step-father, I would be lucky to leave Tuesday night or even better to leave Tuesday afternoon. Oh to be lucky.

"That's just enough time for me to give you your punishment~. But considering you are under my roof now, we're going to have a few rules. Rule number one, you will address me as 'Sir', rule number two, you will not eat or drink unless you have my permission, even then it will be measly. The third and final rule is that you will do whatever I say with no back talk!" He just smirked, leaning in and looking at me.

"Y-yes Sir..." I mumbled, I wasn't listening to him, I was worried about what my step-father was going to do to me.

"Good. These three days are going to be fun for me." He smirked once again, "That reminds me, you can not speak unless spoken to. Got it?"

"Yes Sir..." I mumbled again, feeling the braveness or what I had left of it crumble away every second I was here.

The three days went by painfully slow. My step-father was hitting me whenever he had a chance and burning my torso whenever I messed up on something. He groped me from time to time but he actually never raped me, thank god.

"Hinata, I'm allowing you to leave today, this morning in fact, allowing you to go  back to collage so that you are in time for your game," My step-father started to speak which surprised me, was he turning over a new leaf? Was he actually being nice to me for once? "But, if you lose, even by one measly point, you're coming right home so that I can punish you."

I knew that there had to be a catch of me going home early, but I won't lose! "Yes Sir, thank you very much Sir."

My step-father just nodded and left the room for me to pack up my belongings and leave this hellhole hopefully for good and just head back home.

When I walked into the house I was greeted with Suga who looked worried, "Hinata where were you? I was worried sick about you and Kageyama was worried as well!"

I flinched at his loud voice which reminded me of my step-father yelling at me when I messed something up, "I-I'm sorry Sir- I mean Suga! I'm sorry I made you worry! I thought you would of saw my note..."

"Sir? Hinata are you okay? Did something happen while you were at home?" Suga took a step closer and I pulled my hood up, hoping that having mt hood up would hide the burns scattered across my neck, "Why did you call me Sir?"

"O-Oh...!" I quickly became flustered, I had to think of a lie and quick, "M-My step-father and I did a bet to lighten the mood and I lost... So he just wanted me to call him Sir while I was there. N-Nothing is wrong...!"

Suga looked at me for a few more moments before smiling, "While you were gone, we ordered you a jersey and it came yesterday! Would you like to see it?"

I gasped in excitement and surprise, I wasn't used to people getting me things. My eyes must be shining upon hearing the news, "I would love to see it!"

"Great! I would also like to see it! We didn't open it because we wanted you to open it considering it is your jersey!" Suga led me to the living room where there was a small box on the coffee table.

"Am I allowed to open it now?" I asked Suga who nodded at me, then I opened the book, revealing my brand new orange and black jersey with the number ten on it. Both my lucky and unlucky number. It was perfect.

"Do you like it? I'm sorry that we picked the number without your own thoughts." Suga rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.

"No, the number is fine. I'm just surprised how you know my favourite number!" I gave Suga a big smile, showing him my gratitude.

"I didn't know that it was your favourite number! But a few years ago we gad a senior who was small like you and could jump just as high as you. We called him the Little Giant and his number was ten. We, the seniors, wanted you to be the next Little Giant." Suga smiled, patting my head.

I smiled at Suga again, touched by his kind words. But then it hit me, if I don't win the game, I'll most likely die at the hands of my step-father
