TWELVE:

Sunday: January 30, 2011

Dear diary,

Yesterday Klaus and I talked. We agreed on me going back to Wisconsin for school. The semester starts tomorrow. Klaus agreed to stay in Wisconsin as often as he could. And we'd be living together in his apartment.

We're trying to take it slow. We're both adjusting to thing. He's opening up and letting me into this unbelievable world. I'm being patient as he learns how to be a good boyfriend.

I just know I'm happier with him. And with him around. So it's worth fighting for him, for us. With him. Because the fighting leads to knowing more about the other. The making up means we're stronger. That wanting to be together means more than what our differences are. Here I am falling for him again. Faster than before.

But I have more confidence this time around. Still, I'm scared that one day we're going to face being wrong for each other. I can sense that being with him is going to be the hardest thing in the world. We're trying to make something out of the ordinary work just on the pretenses of lust and like for one another. We're building our foundation on trust, which is why it's still wobbly. But those two factors: lust keeps us going, what keeps Klaus and I from letting go to be honest. Liking one another even as we're still getting to know each other is the push that keeps us together. To want more than just the physical stuff.

Which is why I'm not having sex with him anymore. I don't know for how long. And he doesn't know at all that's my plan. But it is. I want to get to know his mind. I have his body memorized.

One day at time though. Growing together.

"Well, first day back and I already want another vacation," Brooke sighed.

"Same," Dylan agreed, throwing his arm around her shoulder. "Let's get lunch guys."

"I'm in," Ethan said. "I'm starving."

"Me too," Brooke said and Dylan pressed a kiss to her cheek. The two ended up steps in front of us as Dylan called over his shoulder he was driving but he was taking Brooke's car.

"Hey," Ethan said to me, stepping to my side and I shot him a small smile.

"Hey. How you been?"

"Good. Pretty good. You?"

"Same," I chuckled and he grinned.
