Setting: July 13, 2007; Forbidden forest, Jemima's pov...

"I still can't believe you said yes-and then left," Enid huffs as she eyes me from the dining room table, "the two of you could be safe in a mansion right now with mr. Perfect," she goes on, "but instead you chose to comeback here and hide the two you away in this ragged, rundown tree house-why?"

"Because I'm not leaving you on your own," I tell her, "and I don't wanna put the Malfoys in danger by staying there-especially after their poor decision of siding with your grandfather," I adds in, "staying with them puts them in danger due to the fact that Morfin knows I'm with you and is likely tracking my magic as well..."

"Or-and just hear me out," she says as continue what I'm doing, "you have trust issues, paranoia, and-if I had to guess, some type of complex to do with being happy."

"Huh," I sigh out, "even if there is some truth to your opinion," I start, "there's also some truth in mine as well."

"Well," she sighs out, "in that case," she starts, "why did you even bother going to see him?"

"Not sure," I reply with a shrug, "I apparated to the first place that popped into my head," I add nonchalantly, "I didn't know it was raining in England at the time," I mutter, "I got caught in the storm so I changed into a dove and flew to the closest place in the area to take shelter."

"Ya basically took advantage of the guy-" she replies bluntly, "and then flaked out on him."

"..." I just glare at her before letting out a sigh, "at least he knows for sure I'm alive for now."

"Ugh!" She groans dramatically, "ya do know that keeping the kid with us is putting his life in danger as well right?-with Morfin after us-me-us."

"What are you suggesting?" I ask glaring at her

"Leave him to live with father," she tells me as she eyes my son, "or literary ANYONE in your family."

"..." I remain quiet as I look to my new born son, "I'm his mother," I speak, "He is my responsibility, nobody else's."

"Umm...his father's," she comes back with sass

"Still lives in his family manor," I tell her before sneering, "with his parents-and I will not let my son be corrupted by them."

"WOW," she says sarcastically, "you must have seriously little faith in the man to think he'd let such things happen."

"It's hard not to," I reply quietly, "after...everything."

"We can't stay hiding away here forever," Enid sighs out changing topics

"What do you suggest?" I ask her

"Let's start a band," she replies to my question with a devious smirk

"Oh come on Jems!" Enid exclaims bringing up the topic once more, "let's start a band together: travel the world, make a name for ourselves and make it big."

"That's some pretty high goals," I acknowledge as I feed Scorpius his bottle, "what kid of set up did you have in mind?"

"We'll both play instruments and sing songs," she tells me excitedly, "and you'll write them!"

"Me?!" I reply in shock, "write the songs?-I can't."

"You probably could better than I can," she tells me, "my writing is rubbish-chicken scratch."

"Huh," I sigh out, "and what name did you have in mind exactly."

"The Potter-" she starts

"NO," I flat out cut her off, "absolutely nothing in relations with me."
