*Remus Lupin from teen years*
*I'm using Lupus in the greek mythological term & constellation for Wolf-not the illness.*
*Lyncanthropy-the supernatural transformation of a person into a wolf, as recounted in folk tales of a form of madness involving the delusion of being an animal, usually a wolf, with correspondingly altered behavior.*
Setting: early the next morning; room of requirements, Peri successfully snuck back into the castle undetected (as far as she knew)-Remus & Sirius are just returning...

Peri quickly hurries to help Sirius get Remus to the nearest bed, she conjures up some water & (at his request) chocolate to help subsided-she had done this once or twice for Romula as well. Sirius sneaks off to get food for everyone, Jiba remains unconscious with her pulse slowly increasing & Remus lies ill in the other bed. With Jiba still unconscious, Peri sits by Remus's bedside, moving his pieces on the chess board to the spots he tells her as they play the game...

"I hate going through this every month," he sighs

"And I've always hated hearing the complaints about it every month," she mutters, "thanks for reminding me..."

"What're you talking about?" He groans out as he tries to sit up

"Lay back down," she sighs out as she easily pushes him back down on the bed, "maybe now's a good time to tell you what your daughter asked me too-"

"So I didn't just dream up you telling that," he sighs out as he readjusts himself

"Nope," she says popping the p, "you did not."

"So what's her name anyways then?" He asks with a pain filled sigh as he falls back onto the bed-giving up on trying to get comfortable

"Romula," she simply states as she moves one of her pawns

"After the myths of the twins: Remus and Romulus," he notes before asking & trailing off with, "and she's..."

"Just like you-in this area," she tells him, "her face is all scratched up too-not as bad as yours though-but still..."

"..." he's quiet in thought

"Don't you want to know about her?" She asks him

"No," he states, "I don't want to know what the future holds for me anymore than you've already told," he tells her, "I'd rather wait, find out for myself and I don't wanna chance changing the possibility of her existence."

"Fair enough," she replies simply

"But," he sigh as he again struggles to get comfortable, "I will admit that you telling me I will have one, took me by surprise-"

"Why?" She asks with a huff, "cause you're a sock folding 'monster' that nobody should or could love?" She says while failing to be serious & hold back her snickering, "oh please," she laughs, "if I had a sickle for every time I heard Romula say that," she laughs uncontrollably, "along with calling herself a beast that no one could love," she adds in before sighing, "than I'd be one rich witch."

"How could she say that?" He asks astonished that his daughter-whom he imagines is likely quite pretty-could say

"Ummm..." she starts, "probably cause she's your daughter and likely heard you saying it," she tells him, "I will say this much though-she's usually very cheerful, complete opposite of your personality from what I've seen really," she tells him, "but there're moments when she gets as low as you seem to often be...it's more or less usually round the full moon, but sometimes it isn't," she adds in, "and when it isn't, it's really hard to get her to snap back."

"..." he just remains quiet

"She's the closest female in your life for a long time where I come from," she tells him, "but-eventually-you both find love, pure and true."
