max needs to rant

"delete this"

i hate when people tell artists to delete a picture on instagram, especially if it has to do with their lover or ex.

for example, luke and arzaylea. they're not together anymore, and luke still has at least one picture of him and arzaylea together, but so many of the comments after their break up say "delete this." sure, they're no longer together, but he doesn't have to delete it. if he wants to, then he'll do it. don't demand he delete something just because it's over. that's like telling my chemical romance to delete their social media band accounts because they're no longer a thing. (feels like people are gonna hate me for this comparison.)

another example, michael and crystal. they're still dating yet there are people who still tell them to delete the pictures of the two together. why do they have to delete pictures of them together? they're dating. it's normal for couples to post pictures of them. if i were dating anyone, i would post pictures of me with my lover, because i love them and i'm proud to call them mine and to be called theirs. and don't give me that "he's famous and needs to respect fans' feelings" crap. that doesn't give him any less of a right to post pictures of him and his girlfriend together. besides, a bunch of us are being even more disrespectful towards him by dissing his girlfriend, someone whom he truly and deeply cares about with all his heart.

also, another thing: even if larzaylea or mystal were PR stunts (AND THIS IS A BIG FAT IF), that still doesn't mean they can't post couple-like photos. they're only posting for publicity and just simply doing their jobs. if i believed they were fake, i would just let things be instead of saying "delete this."

let them do whatever the hell they want. this applies to everyone and everything. i'm not only talking about luke and michael, and i am especially not only talking about telling them to delete pictures. the least you can do is respect them and their decisions.
