"so what color are you feeling?" dongho questioned as he ran his fingers through daniel's faded pink locks, tilting his head towards the wall lined with different hair dyes.
daniel didn't even take a glance at the wall, but rather at his image reflected in the mirror in front of him.
"i'm thinking a natural brown," he mused to the older, "then i won't stick out in a crowd."
daniel's hyung made a noise like he was trying to hold back laugher when he reached to grab bleach and a brown hair dye. "you blind brat, you stick out in a crowd regardless because your visuals are model worthy."
daniel shook his head, making his face scowl to seem serious. "no no, i certainly don't stick out among all the people that meet korean beauty standards."
dongho sighed, snapping gloves on. "who even cares about those beauty standards anymore? it's legit 'the more you starve yourself the better!'"
daniel looked at dongho through the mirror. "you shush, hyungie, with your handsome face and your handsome friends, you probably stick out more than i do."
"you just said you are handsome." dongho stated plainly, trying to keep the smug expression off his face.
daniel merely sighed and didn't voice his argument since he knew it was futile. behind him, dongho silently cheered over his victory.
---
the two boys just chatted about whatever came to their minds as daniel's hair dryed, leading to their bond becoming stronger.
"so wait, you ignored the fact that the almighty bae jinyoung is your soulmate?" daniel questioned, looking incredulously at his hyung.
dongho nodded. "i know soulmates are supposed to be the ultimately valued thing in this society now, but i love someone else."
daniel crossed his arms and leaned back in the chair he sat in, mentally agreeing with his friend. "yeah, i get you there. i think the whole soulmate deal is idiotic, but what can we do now?"
the elder merely shrugged. "some people become obsessed with the idea of a soulmate, while some wait, other's don't care, and some commit suicide because they can't find their one."
daniel's pretty eyes widened. "that happens?"
looking regretful, dongho nodded. "my friend stated that he had his soulword on his arm 'til he was about 21, then it vanished."
trying to meet dongho's eyes, daniel opened his mouth to inquire further on the topic, only to have a rich voice take his spot.
"uhm, sir, i'm here to get my hair dyed, i've been standing here for the past ten minutes."
dongho and daniel looked to the counter, where an extremely refined male stood awkwardly, shifting on his feet.
daniel noted that although the newcomer's facial features were not small or flattened like most korean's, he was absolutely gorgeous.
dongho cursed under his breath. "i forgot that samuel had a hair dye appointment too."
