He was at home taking a break from searching for cures for a killing curse coma and turned on the ministry radio he had from the war.

"Sirius Black, traitor of his best friends the Potters and killer of 12 muggles and his friend Peter Pettigrew. He has been captured and sent to Azkaban." This isn't right Sirius is innocent, he wasn't dead, and neither was James and Lily. He had to go stand trial for him he was innocent, Remus would help. "Here is a public statement made by his boyfriend, Remus Lupin." Thank god Remus would tell them he's innocent.

"This is not the man I fell in love with or grew up with. I don't know what happened to that man but, Sirius told me he was the secret keeper for the Potters and had been acting weird before the attack and I will not stand for that man."

"No, no, no Remus you have it all wrong! He wasn't the secret keeper, i was i betrayed them but they're ok I saved them! He switched the secret keeper because they knew they would go after him then you!" He fell to his knees and screamed at the radio know they couldn't here him. "Remus why? You were the smart one." His voice was barely a whisper at the end. He collapsed and cried he didn't know if he could do this. Why did he have to fall for his lies? He ruined everything. He didn't move he couldn't bring himself to get up and work; he just lay on the hard floor until he fell asleep.

He woke to a knock on his front door. He jumped up and answered. Standing there were fellow death eaters. He knew he must look insane with his hair a mess and his cloths twisted.

"What do you need?" He tried to sound as stable as he could but he couldn't turn his mind away from what Remus said.

"We need to talk about the next battle." They one in the front said with no emotion.

"We can't go back we need to go into hiding i heard the ministry report. They were going after anyone who was rumored to be fighting for the Dark Lord, we need to hide and wait for this to die down before we strike again." Some of them nodded in agreement, he remembered a few of them had children Harry's age.

"He's right guys we need to hide if we want to live." That sounded like Malfoy, he never sided with him but then again he had Draco.

"Ok goodbye guys." He quickly slammed the door in their faces probably looking very suspicious but they couldn't report it so he didn't care.

He ran down to the guest bedroom and just looked at them. He couldn't find anything so he would have to question some healers but for now he couldn't do anything but hope. He looked at James face with his glasses askew and his hair even messier than ever. He couldn't stop the memories from coming; first years on the train recognizing James and Sirius by their last names and asked to sit with them. They welcomed him and they started sharing sweets when the compartment door opened again; a small blond boy with bright Amber eyes who was covered in scars asked to sit with them. The poor boy had looked terrified and scared to be with other people. He recalled as he pulled out a book James appalled face and him and Sirius knew they wanted to make this guys laugh. They tried everything until he warmed up and started talking.

In line for sorting and Sirius looking sick and when he was sorted into Gryffindor all the jeering from his family and James being sorted and the first thing he did was try to distract Sirius. Him not talking for day until he finally accepted that he was a Gryffindor, and he was proud of it. He thought about how James and Sirius had wrestled on the floor for a bed while Remus and Peter had just laughed. He pulled himself out of his head but he couldn't help but cry, he missed those days.
