A Different Ending

They had just went and stood right in front of Sirius when Lily jumped up, this cause Sirius to jump over the back of the chair and Mcgonagall had a very surprised look on her face when she was almost tackled to the ground in a hug.

"Minnie! Minnie I thought i would never see you again!" Remus just shook his head as he saw Minervina look down at the boy hugging her, taking in his elbow long hair and his thin form. Then she hugged him back very fiercely. He saw Dumbledore's blue eyes twinkle like they always did at the sight.

The professor pulled away and just looked at him. Remus always knew she had been a mother figure to him along with Mrs. Potter, and Sirius took his chosen family very seriously.

"Mr. Black your hair, you need food."

"Minnie when was the last time you called me Mr. Black. You know my real name remember it Sirius, i'm Sirius about it."

"You still use that joke it's been almost twenty years." She had an exasperated tone but had a smile tugging a her lips.

Dumbledore cleared his throat and they stopped staring each other down. "Melissa can you summon two more chairs so we can hear this story again?"

"Of course Professor." She waved her wand and two more chairs appeared and they all sat.

"Now you five i'm sure you've already told this story enough times but can you please go through it again?" They all nodded and Peter started again.By the time he was finished Minerva look like she was about to burst and Albus' eyes were full of amusement.

"Mr. Pettigrew i would never have expected this of you but you did what was right and i'm very proud." Professor Mcgonagall broke the silence that followed the story and Peter's eyes shone from the praise. They might not be in school anymore but these two peoples opinion they still held in the highest regard.

"Thank you professor." He spoke quietly and Dumbledore just chuckled.

"Now Lily i know you have been waiting the entire story for this so shall we go get Harry?" She jumped out of her seat and Was at the door in seconds.

----------Third Person POV---------

They all apparated to the corner on Private Drive, it was dark by now and James had to hold onto Lily to keep her from running to the house.

"I'm going to just let the family go, which would be James, Lily, and Sirius the rest of you we can wait here." He beckoned them to go and none of them could contain themselves.

They were across the street when Lily spoke. "James i'm scared." Her voice was sparse like she had lost the ability to talk.

"They are just muggles they won't do anything. They don't even know you don't have a wand." He gave her shoulders a reassuring squeeze and tried to lead her across the street but she didn't move.

"I'm not scared of them. What will Harry think when we just show up saying were his parents he's a wizard and that were taking him? JAmes what if he doesn't like us? What if he resents us for leaving him here?" Her eyes were pooling threatening to spill.

"Lily thoes are all what ifs, nothing bad will happen trust me." He didn't even try to make a joke but she nodded and grabbed both their hands.

They walked across the street and Lily extracted her hand from Sirius' and knocked on the door. A fat boy with many chins opened the door with a smile on his face which quickly fell.

"You're not my friends."

"Not but could you get your mother for me?" Lily eyes had spilled over now and Dudley looked confused of why a women was on his door step crying. But he nodded and walked into the house. A minute later he returned with a woman with a horse like face and a very long neck.
