"and then he said he'd beat me up." i stated shyly as i kicked a small stone.
i was telling my bestfriend sadie about the interesting confrontations i had with noah as we walked home from school. sadie is the only person i feel like i can tell all my secrets to. we've known eachother since the first grade. i trust her with my life.
"i'm really worried about you. noah is like three inches taller and thirty pounds heavier than you are. he could murder you if he wanted to" she replied. she was right, i would never be able to physically defend myself against noah.
"i'm not trying to be rude or anything but, noah doesn't love you. i'm sorry, but it's true" sadie said as she started to walk a bit slower.
"i know he doesn't." i replied. to be completely honest, i think noah hates me.
"why are you still with him?" sadie asked.
"because i need him. i don't know the reasoning behind it, i just do." i replied. i guess it's sort of like a bad habit. even though it's not good for you, once it becomes a habit it's just hard to give up.
"anyways, he'd probably publicly execute me if i ever tried to break up with him." i said with a small chuckle.
"well, if you ever need me i'm here for you." sadie stated as patted my back.
i'm glad i have friends like sadie that are supportive of me, even if they disagree with what i'm doing. true friends can never be replaced.
