i was walking through the school hallway on my way to lunch when i saw a familier face begin to approach me. i started to walk faster, hoping he'd just go away, but he didn't.
"hey millie! wait up!" he exclaimed. i sighed and stopped walking
"hello caleb." i said. i really wasn't in the mood to talk to him, but oh well.
"remember when i told you that i liked you? and then you told me that sadie liked me?" he asked. i slowly nodded my head.
"well, about a week and a half ago, i asked sadie on a date. i didn't really want to, but i'm glad i did. she's really nice and i like her a lot. i'm glad you told me about her." he stated. i smiled i was happy for caleb, but i was thrilled for sadie. i knew she had a crush on caleb for over a year. her dream was finally coming true.
"well, i guess i'll see you around." i replied he smiled and continued to walk to the cafeteria.
when i arrived at the cafeteria, i looked around the room in search of finn's table. after a brief moment of looking, i saw him and started walking towards him.
"how's the food today?" i asked as i took a seat next to him.
"better than yesterday, but it still tastes like wallpaper paste." he answered with a chuckle.
"hey, there's a party at my friend jack's house tomorrow night. i was wondering if you wanted to go with me." finn suggested. i kind of wanted to decline his offer. i never really liked parties and big gatherings. they always made me really anxious.
"yeah, i guess i'll go." i replied shyly. the only reason i accepted was because i knew i'd get to spend time with finn.
"are you sure? you don't seem very enthusiatic." he stated.
"yeah, i'm sure." i said.
i wasn't sure. i hated the idea of going to the party.
