After I auditioned for the singing club t as a backup plan, Claire and I met outside the acting club audition room. We planned on performing a small skit then in true musical fashion, break out into song. We were waiting outside the door of the audition room and through the giant window, I could see Kate. I didn't exactly know what she was doing. I was a bit too nervous to pay attention. When we got inside the room, I plugged my phone into the speaker so that we could play our music. We sang to "King of Anything" by Sara Bareilles and after the performance we left the room like everyone else. I left with a smile because even though I thought it was a bit cliché for me, they still thought it was an original idea and they seemed to like it. I thought that if I auditioned with a song, they might see that I can also be cast in musical roles... It was also a plus that Claire is a pretty good singer, so we nailed the audition even though we had 1 day to plan and rehearse everything.
