We had to wait until the next next week to find out which club they put us in. I've always had the singing club as my backup choice then I said that the dance club was my 2nd. The acting club has always been my first choice, especially now that I'm really eyeing that core position. I do the job of core in performance prep anyways, so why not just give me the title.
A week later, the assembly area was filled with students trying to take a look at the boards, seeing where they got in. I already expected it but I still went to the acting club board just to make sure. Kate and I were on the board as expected.
We made our way to the acting club room and there I saw the core waiting for all of us. Some students from a batch higher than us. Most of them I recognize but I'm not close enough to any of them to talk. Some of my batchmates: Danica, Dom and Frankie. When most of the people were already in the room. The club leader made an announcement. "Hello everyone! We are very happy that you all decided to audition for the acting club. We're going to do an activity today, but first let's welcome and congratulate our new core for the year!" I see 3 people walk in front, Claire, Julia and Savine. Julia and Savine were 2 girls Claire and I met before our audition. They were doing a skit about fast food or something but I remember it being really funny. I looked at Claire in front, feeling betrayal that she got picked and I wasn't. We practically did the same things last year.
I am seriously and desperately gonna do EVERYTHING this year. I don't care how much time it takes but they're gonna want me to be in core.
