Chapter 17

Colton's POV

I was thinking about how on earth Violet finished those pancakes and how the hell I got in this position when suddenly Winter shouted, "We're here!"

We were parked behind the car dealership in a park so that Violet wouldn't know where she was. Earlier, we had payed the survey guy to give Violet a survey that we created so that we would be able to buy a car for her. A smirk came onto my lips as I remembered what car she was looking for. A Lamborghini. I was half expecting her to choose something like a Ferrari straight off, but it seems her choice of cars is very classy indeed.

"Hey! What are you smiling at?" I heard Violet say, snapping me back to reality. Getting out of the car, I quickly took out a blindfold from the glove box, going around to the other side of the car to get it. Standing in front of Violet, I passed her the blindfold. Ignoring her question, I simply said,

"Put it on."

Smiling, she answered,

"Will you put it on for me, Colton?"

I grunted, but I had a flash of amusement in my eyes. Stepping behind her, I quickly put it over her eyes, tying it tightly onto her head. Searching her head, I checked if she could see through the material. She couldn't.

"Ok! Let's go!" Winter said enthusiastically.

Holding onto Violet's hand, I walked her through the park and around the car dealership. Joey and Sam were in the car, taking out the small suitcase filled with Violet's lottery money. They quickly caught up to us. Not wanting Violet to know what was happening, I quickly pushed into their minds.

Sam! Joey! Go to Alf! We need to make sure that it's ready!

Nodding, they quickly left. Alf was the owner of the dealership, and a good friend of John. We always buy our Lamborghini's from him. He didn't live far from the Mansion. Alf himself was a Mutant, although, he had been in hiding from the Mutant world, shutting himself away. His power was that he could make plants and vines of all sorts grow.

We finally made it into the dealership, and I saw Alf step out from behind the counter.

"Hey there, kids!" Alf's hearty voice bellowed as he came forward to meet us, dressed casually in a pair of jeans and a light blue tee. His silver hair circled his bald spot, and he had a cheery look in his bright green eyes as he greeted us.

"Oh! John's found another one I see." He said, pointing to Violet who was currently pawing the air as I had let go of her. Shaking hands with Alf, I quickly ran over to Violet, holding her hands in case she knocked over the shelf full of car wax next to her.

"Alf, this is Violet. She joined us a few days ago."

"Pleasure to meet you, Violet." He said from where he was standing, knowing that it would be impossible for Violet to shake hands with him properly.

"Pleasure to hear you too." She said. Alf chuckled in response.

"Do you have it ready?" Winter asked Alf excitedly, jumping up and down, her hair bouncing behind her.

"Yes, of course! Please come through the door."

With that, he went through a door next to the large roller door, taking us to the showroom. Tightly grasping Violet's hand, I led her down the stairs and into a bright white room. The twins were grinning like Cheshire cats, staring at the Lamborghini before them. Turning Violet around so that she was facing the wall, I started to take her blindfold off.

"Hope you like it, Vi." I whispered into her ear. I felt her shiver and then I took her blindfold off.

I heard her intake of breath as she turned around.
