Chapter 19

I woke up to find myself in a very compromising position.

Colton was still in bed, and he was still shirtless, and...

He was lying on top of me.

His head was in the nook of my neck and his hard chest lay on top of my own. I felt his breath on my neck, his lips were touching my skin, and his legs trapped mine from escaping.

I felt the blood rush to my cheeks as I felt his hard chest on my front. My breathing picked up as I thought of ways to get out from this awkward position. I tried to squirm out from under his body, but I couldn't, simply because he was too heavy! Finally, thinking of no other options, I moved my free hand and poked him. I saw his eyes slowly flutter, and they seemed unfocused as he assessed the situation. I saw him smirk at me before putting his head back into the nook of my neck, seeming to fall back asleep.

"Um, Colton? C-Could you uh, p-p-please get-t off of m-me?" I asked, stammering as his warm breath continued to fan my neck.

"Why would I do that? You know, I am very tired from last night." I felt his lips move on my neck and I stiffened. Sadly, this was not missed by Colton.

"Hmm? Are you enjoying this position?"

I felt him arm clamber down and slowly ran up my leg, drawing circles on my calf. Cursing myself for wearing only a fluffy bathrobe that reached mid thigh, I shivered under his heated touch.

"C-C-Colton? W-W-What ar-r-re you d-d-doing?" I asked, trying to get my breathing under control.

I held in a moan as his hands slipped higher, all the way up to my thigh.

"C-C-Colton? S-St-Stop!"

I felt myself starting to pant, he wasn't stopping. Why wasn't he stopping? Suddenly, before I could stop myself, I had flung him over to the other side of the room, his form slumped against the wall.

"Colton! Shoot, I'm so sorry! Oh my God, Colton, are you okay! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to!" Tears started to run down my face as I jumped off the bed and ran to him. For some reason he wasn't breathing. Oh no! He's not breathing! I started to sob as I shook his head.

"Colton? Colton! Say something? Please?" I continued talking to him, trying to get him to wake up. I was sobbing really hard now, he wasn't waking! Why wasn't he waking?

"Sam! Joey! Winter! John! Someone! Help! Please." My voice cracked at the end. I think I just killed Colton. The door burst open and in came Sam, Joey, Winter and John. AT the sight of my tear-stained face, they rushed over to me. Seeing Colton, I saw their eyes widen slightly, horrified at the sight. Blood was now running from his head, a small puddle on the floor. I started to become hysterical as the blood continued to drop, memories of a terrible day coming into my mind, breaking down the barriers I so foolishly thought were impossible to break.

The sun was bright and high in the sky, puffy white clouds decorating a blue canvas. The picnic basket was in front of us, my mother was sitting with it, hiding in the cool shade of the gum tree. We we're in Australia, in a large forest. Ever since birth, I remember never being in any cities or towns. I knew they existed, but they sounded like fairy tales to my seven year old self, living in the forests and bushes for your whole life and never seeing anything other than trees and the occasional wallaby or koala did that to you.

Father was chasing me around the meadow, his loud footsteps thumping behind me as shrieks of laughter left my lips. I was wearing my favourite pink dress. It had little flowers decorating it's front. My small feet continued to pad around the meadow in a circle. Suddenly, large hands lifted me up, tickling my ribs. Hot tears of joy left my eyes as I continued to laugh loudly. My father's booming voice echoed throughout the meadow.
