"Lynx," Bridget whispered, detangling her fingers from Lynx's and lightly shaking her shoulder. Lynx just whined in her sleep, and turned her head the other way, and Bridget couldn't help but to smile. Lynx was here. She was finally here, only a few steps away from Bridget's home, and boy was she happy.

She wiped her hands on her jeans, which had gotten clammy because of holding Lynx's hand for three hours, and got out of the car. She opened the door to the passengers seat, and looked at Lynx who was mumbling in her sleep.  She looked like she hasn't slept in a few days so Bridget decided not to disturb her. She pushed her arms under Lynx's back to pick her off the seat. She wasn't as heavy as Bridget had expected and so she adjusted her arms and closed the door with her foot.

Bridget couldn't help but stare at the girl who's head now flopped over Bridget's shoulder as soft snores escaped her lips. She was truly beautiful and Bridget wondered how could someone hurt her this bad, that there were actual bruises on her skin. She shook her head in dismay and struggled to open the door, but she did. She went straight to her bedroom and placed Lynx on the Semi-messy bed, pulling the covers up to her chest. She looked so at peace as Bridget ran her fingers across her forehead and brushed her hair out of her eyes. Her lips were cracked, and her cheeks were hollow like she hadn't eaten in days and Bridget blamed herself for not getting to Lynx sooner. Sighing she left her bedroom to go downstairs once again and get Lynx's bags of belongings. She placed it besides the dresser with one last look at a sleeping Lynx, she left the house to get Lynx some ointments and tablets.
