Bridget sat next to Lynx, handing her a juice box. She couldn't help but stare at her, the way her short legs folded under her, the way she chewed the inside of her cheek in concentration. She was simply beautiful. Her bruises had gotten lighter and her face looked better than before. The hollow in her cheeks and bags under her eyes were still there just not as bad.

"I can feel you staring at me," Lynx giggled and Bridget flushed, looking away. A silence stretched between them, for a few minutes. It wasn't uncomfortable, it was just a silence where both of them were peacefully drinking their drinks, vision focused on the screen.

"Bridget?" Lynx called in a small voice and Bridget nodded her head, setting down her soda.

"Yeah?"

"Would you mind if, um," Lynx's cheeks heated as she scooted closer to Bridget, and Bridget diverted her gaze from the television to Lynx. She was biting her lip nervously and her eyes darted away from Bridget's.

"What is it, baby?" The word felt weird rolling off her tongue for Lynx, but she was unaware of the fact that, that particular word made Lynx highly flustered, yet strangely happy and settled. In other words it made her feel little.

"Can we cuddle?" Lynx asked hesitantly and Bridget almost immediately opened her arms. She desperately wanted to kiss Lynx earlier, but she didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. And so when Lynx rested her head on Bridget's upper chest, Bridget wrapped her arm around Lynx's shoulders, she sighed happily, pulling Lynx closer.

"You're squishy," Lynx commented and Bridget couldn't help but laugh at the statement.

"What does that even mean?" Bridget pondered, her fingers playing with Lynx's soft hair.

"I mean when I looked at you I thought you'd be muscly and like not soft. But you're soft and squishy." Lynx muttered nuzzling her head further into Bridget's upper chest and keeping her juice box down to wrap her arm around Bridget's waist. Bridget just smiled at her adoringly, running her hand up and down Lynx's back.

"You don't make any sense," Bridget laughed instead and Lynx just blushed, focusing her attention on the beautiful sound erupting from Bridget's mouth.

"Do you think my dad will ever forgive me?" Lynx looked up at Bridget and Bridget pushed her hair away from her eyes.

"There's nothing wrong in being the way you are, he can't forgive you really, he has to accept you," Bridget placed a soft kiss to Lynx's forehead and Lynx closed her eyes at the sensation.

"I really hope he accepts me then," Lynx whispered feeling like she could cry.

"He will, don't worry baby," and hearing those words from Bridget just made her feel better.
