"You all right?" Lyanna asked Gendry.

"Hmm." He grunted back to her.

"Ever been north before?" Tormuned walked up to them.

"Never seen snow before." Gendry's voice was shaking.

"Beautiful, eh?" Tormund looked around him. "I can breathe again. Down south, the air smells like pig shit."

"You've never been down south." Lyanna reminded him.

"I've been to Winterfell." He corrected her.

"That's the North." Lyanna rolled her eyes.

Tormund made a fart noise with his mouth. "How'd you live up here?" Gendry asked, rubbing his hands together. "How do you keep your balls from freezing off?"

"You have to keep moving. That's the secret." Tormund smiled. "Walking is good. Fighting is better. Fucking is best."

Lyanna looked at Tormund and shook her head. "No."

Lyanna glanced at Gendry, who backed away from Tormund. "This one is maybe not so smart."

"Davos said he is a strong fighter." Lyanna took a quick glance at Gendry.

"Good." Tormund nodded. "That's more important than being smart." Tormund looked at Lyanna as they continued to walk. "Smart people don't come up here looking for the dead. So, you met this Dragon Queen, huh? And?"

"She'll only fight beside us if I bend the knee." Lyanna watched as she spoke, the cold air in front of her.

"You've already spent too much time with the Free Folk." Tormund admitted, laughing. "Now you won't kneel. Mance Rayder was a brave man. Jon probably told you about him. A proud man. The King Beyond-The-Wall never bent the knee. How many of his people died for his pride?"

A little while later, Lyanna was walking with Beric. "You don't much look like him."

"Who's that?" Lyanna asked him.

"Your father." He answered, giving Lyanna a small smile. "I suppose you favour your mother."

"I've always been told I look like my aunt, who I was named after. And that I get my hair from my mother." She remembered what Ned had told her the last time she saw him. "Did you know him?"
