A MULTITUDE OF GUARDS WERE PLACED AROUND THE GREAT HALL AND THE MANY WHO ALLIED WITH HOUSE STARK. LYANNA SAT IN HER RIGHTFUL PLACE IN THE CENTRE OF A LONG TABLE. DAENERYS SAT ON LEFT WHILE JON SAT ON HER RIGHT, WITH SANSA AND BRAN BESIDE HIM.

On the left of the room, there was a shorter table where Tyrion, Varys, Missandei, and Jorah sat. On the right, there was another table where Podrick, Davos, Brienne, Lyanna Mormont, Lord Royce, and Alys Karstark sat.

Jaime stood in the middle of the Great Hall.

"When I was a child, my brother would tell me a bedtime story about the man who murdered our father." Daenerys began as she looked over at Jaime. "Who stabbed him in the back and cut his throat. Who sat down on the Iron Throne and watched as his blood poured onto the floor." Jaime's eyes lowered as Lyanna stared at him. There were only two (three, if you include Bran), who knew the real reason for Jaime's 'betrayal' to the Mad King. "He told me other stories as well. About all the things we would do to that man once we took back the Seven Kingdoms and had him in our grasp." Daenerys paused for a moment, watching as Jaime looked over at Lyanna. "Your sister pledged to send her army north."

"She did." Jaime turned his attention back to the Dragon Queen.

She looked around the hall. "I don't see an army. I see one man, with one hand." Lyanna scoffed quietly to herself. "It appears your sister lied to me."

Tyrion looked over at Jaime, with Jaime returning the glance. "She lied to me as well." He shrugged his shoulders. "She never had any intention of sending her army north." Daenerys turned her glare towards Tyrion. "She has Euron Greyjoy's fleet and 20,000 fresh troops. The Golden Company from Essos bought and paid for. Even if we defeat the dead, she'll have more than enough to destroy the survivors."

"'We'?" Daenerys echoed his words.

"I promised to fight for the living." Jaime pleaded. "I intend to keep that promise."

Tyrion stepped forward towards Daenerys. "You, Grace, I know my brother -"

"Like you knew your sister?" She interrupted him.

"He came here alone, knowing full well how he'd be received." Tyrion defended Jaime. "Why would he do that if he weren't telling the truth?"

"Perhaps he trusts his little brother to defend him." Daenery once again glared at the Lannister brothers. "Right up to the moment he slits my throat."

Tyrion looked over to Lyanna and Jon.

"You're right." Sansa spoke up. "We can't trust him. He attacked Lyanna in the streets. He tried to destroy my house and my family, the same as he did yours."

"Do you want me to apologise?" Jaime asked Sansa. "I won't." He looked at Lyanna with an apologetic look on his face. "We were at war. Everything I did, I did for my house and for my family. I'd do it all again."
