IN WINTERFELL, BRAN SAT BY THE FIRE. THERE WAS A KNOCK ON THE DOOR.

"Come in." He said as Samwell Tarly entered the room. "Samwell Tarly."

"I wasn't sure if you'd remember me." Sam nervously spoke.

"I remember everything." Bran told him as Sam closed the door. "You helped us get beyond the Wall. You're a good man."

"Oh, well, thank you, but, um, I'm not sure that I am." Sam sat down on the chair beside Bran. "What happened to you beyond the Wall?"

"I became the Three-Eyed Raven."

"Oh!" Sam exclaimed. "I don't know what that means."

"I can see things that happened in the past. I can see things happening now all over the world." Bran turned to Sam. "Why did you come to Winterfell?"

"Um, Jon and his sister, your sister, they're the ones who are going to lead the fight against the dead." Sam told him. "But they can't do it alone. So, I've come here to help them."

"They're on the way back to Winterfell with Daenerys Targaryen."

"You, you saw this in a vision?" Sam asked, but Bran lifted up a scroll. "Oh."

"They need to know the truth." Bran said to Sam.

"The truth about what?" Sam was confused.

"About themselves. No one knows." Bran shook his head. "Lyanna and Jon aren't really my father's children. They are the children of Rhaegar Targaryen and my aunt, Lyanna Stark. They were born in a tower in Dorne. Their last names aren't really Snow. It's Sand."

"It's not." Sam disagreed.

"Dornish bastards are named Sand." Bran told him.

"At the Citadel, I transcribed a High Septon's diary." Sam told him. "He annulled Rhaegar's marriage to Elia. He wed Rhaegar and Lyanna in a secret ceremony."

"Are you certain?" Bran asked.

"It's what the High Septon wrote in his private diary." Sam shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know why he'd lie. Is this something you can see?"

Bran observes the wedding of Rhaegar and Lyanna.

"Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger. I am hers, and she is mine from this day until the end of my days." Rhaegar spoke, holding on tight to Lyanna's hands.

"Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger. I am his, and he is mine from this day until the end of my days." Lyanna repeated, looking into Rhaegar's eyes.

"Robert's Rebellion was built on a lie." Bran said, watching his aunt marry. "Rhaegar didn't kidnap my aunt or rape her."

Rhaegar and Lyanna kiss.

"He loved her. And she loved him."

Another flashback shows Lyanna had given birth to Lyanna and on, but she is dying. Ned kneels beside her, holding her hand.

"Lyanna and Jon - their real names."

"Her name is Rhaenyra. His name is Aegon. Rhaenyra and Aegon Targaryen. You have to protect them. Promise me, Ned."

"They've never been bastards." Bran looked to Sam. "They are the heirs to the Iron Throne."

"They need to know." Sam told Bran. "We need to tell them."

Ravens cawed as Tormund and Beric patrolled on top of the Wall. They looked out towards the North. "It's a long way down." Beric joked as he looked over the edge.

"Yeah." Tormund agreed. "The crows keep telling me I'll get used to it."

Figures started to emerge from the forest.

"I can see movement." One of the guards said. "Watch, on the tree line!"

A huge army emerged from the trees. The White Walkers were mounted, holding a spear. Dark clouds swirled. A horn blared as the undead army got closer to the Wall. The undead army stopped, and all was still.

Atop the Wall, Beric and Tormund looked out nervously. A dragon's screech came from the darkness. The undead Viserion flew in, and spat out blue flames at the Wall as he passed. Tormund and Beric stared in disbelief. The Night King rode astride the undead dragon.

Tormund and Beric hurried down from the watchtower. "Come on! Run!"

The Night's Watchmen fled as the undead dragon attacked the Wall with blue flames. The Wall began to buckle and fell. The stairways shook and were destroyed. Many fell to their deaths. The undead army watched on, motionless. Tormund and Beric barely escaped from the collapsing section of the Wall. Once it had come to the ground, the undead army started to advance. The army seemed endless and included undead giants. The Night King led from above, riding Viserion.

The undead army marched south of the wall.
