( Perris' POV )
I thought she didn't even like him, what are they even doing down there together. I'm so confused. I tried so hard to protect her from him. He's just the same as all the others, and so is Shane. They both have bad intentions and I will not let Fey get caught up in that, and I sure as hell won't either.
I take the syrup adding it to my pancakes and quickly shoving each bite of the cut up pancake into my mouth as fast as I physically could. Shane looked at me and laughed as he took in the amount of food I had just consumed in this short amount of time.
"Wow slow down, those pancakes aren't going anywhere," he said still laughing.
"Ya, ya, very funny," I said in a mocking tone adding a fake laugh to prove my point.
I bring my dish to the kitchen when I'm done and turn to see Shane walking towards the back door. I grab my phone before quickly walk catching up to him as I realize he is heading in the same direction as I am.
The path was pretty short as we got to them quickly. They didn't notice us at first as both where to focused on each other. They seemed lost in each other's eyes.
Shane cleared his throat as the two jumped back obviously startled by anyone's presence.
I looked at Fey who by now had rosie red cheeks from embarrassment, where as when I turned to Jc he just put his head down before turning to look up at Shane.
There was an awkward silence between us all before the sound of my phone went off.
I look down at the lit screen showing a name I have been trying to avoid. He's called about a hundred times and I just need him to leave me alone.
"Hold on I have to take this," I huffed as I headed back to the cottage to talk to him in private.
( Shane's POV )
Perris seemed a little off as she looked at her phone. She had a mix of anger and annoyance in her eyes. How could this person have pissed her off so much.
"I think I'm going to go check on her," I say awkwardly trying to not make it a big deal.
"Ya that's fine," Jc says looking at Fey then back to me.
"I can if you want," fey says not truly meaning it.
I shook my head before she spoke again, " are you sure?"
"Yeah I got this," I said turning on my heels in the direction of Perris.
Intrigued I followed distantly behind Perris back inside the cottage, she had gotten many phone calls this weekend from a number she always ignored. Why was she now answering?, I wondered who this person was but I had my suspicions and I was hoping they were completely wrong.
As I entered the back door of the cottage I quietly made my way through the kitchen and living area and crept my way down the hallway peering into the small crack that left the door open, giving me enough to see of the obviously upset girl behind it on the phone.
"I told you I don't want to talk about this anymore" Her voice was quiet and you could hear the small desperation in her tone that was trying to keep herself together.
Something was obviously said on the phone that made her feel uneasy and begin to beg for him to stay away from her.
"Jason.."
My jaw clenched as his name escaped her lips, I guess my suspicions were nothing but correct and I began to feel the feeling on envy and annoyance pump through my blood.
