(Fey's P.O.V)

"Um, that's a no for me..." Perris said with the look of discussed plastered on her face.

"Sorry Perris, you agreed to the deal... Kian won and he picked this little canoe trip. Man up and start packing a small bag," I said in return and I through an extra t-shirt in a small bag.

After getting packed up, we all made our way to the back of the property where the land met shore.

"Perris you're with me, we need to talk," Shane says leading Perris to a canoe.

I looked around to find that almost everyone else was hoping in there canoes with their partners and setting off.

"I guess you're stuck with me?" I turned around glancing at Jc standing behind me as he ran a hand through his hair with an awkward smile plastered on his face.

"I guess so," I said with an awkward smile.

Honestly it can't be that bad, It's only a short canoe ride to the island nothing more.

Me and Jc were the last ones to get in our canoes leaving a big gap between the rest of the canoes.

Neither Jc nor I understood how to steer the canoe which probably wasn't the smartest pair up due to everyone else, we stroke our paddles through the water causing us to head in an "s" shape.

"Jc, I don't really wanna get wet, smarten up," I said from the front of the canoe after we had been canoeing for what felt like a couple of moments. I was surprised I had kept my composure this long about Jc splashing me when he put his paddle in the water.

Jc began to rock the boat causing it to almost fully tip over. I turned around to face him only to see a big smile shown on his face. He gave a small shrug and an innocent smirk to match with his glistening brown eyes before he spoke up, "oops."

I stared at him a little before giving him a little eye roll as I turned to face forward once more. My eye widened as I noticed the absence of the others in their canoes.

"Um Jc, everyone's gone," I say with pauses.

"What," Jc asked confused, " How is that even possible?"

"i don't even know, we were right behind them," I said with frustration bubbling inside me, It's not like Perris to just abandon me like that.

"don't worry," Jc said with a slight giggle, "We'll make this little adventure. Trust me."

Jc steered the canoe towards a split off of waterways, " Do you think they went left or right?" he asked me.

"I-I dunno ,right?" I questioned, when in doubt say right I guess.

"Hmm well Kian's leading and knowing him he's never right so I say left"he joked turning back to look at me.

I laughed and although I wanted that moment of adrenalin for adventure and trusting Jc to last ,the thought of being lost lingered in the back of my mind.

"But truthfully I swear I saw them heading right Jc..." I let out finally biting at my lip and I wasn't sure if the fearfulness in my eyes were recognized by Jc.

I guess it did as he looked at me searching my face, " If the lady says right, right it is" he teased trying to lighten the mood, "start paddling let's see if we can catch up to these assholes" he added as my either long lasting or short adventure with Jc began.
