Chapter 3~Shadow benders

Kai's POV

Today sensei is learning John how to use his elements.

I actually hope he'll fail in everything but when i saw him train yesterday i was thinking a lot different... it's so strange , first you think he's a amateur but then he is a master of fighting.

"Okay John, spinjitsu is a fight of art, it is strong like steal , you must have the ability to regain your balance. "
"Okay sensei"

Wait did he just called him.. sensei??
He's not a ninja.. or my friend.

Then he did spinjitsu with MY power.
Eugg i hate it that i haven't powers anymore...
I'm now training outside with the training dummies, kind off eavesdropping on sensei and John.

"You're a fast learner , you are even faster then Kai at the training course"

Wait.. did sensei just said that John beat my record?!
"Why does life hates me?!" I almost yelled.

The guys and Nya looked at my direction.
"Ohhw i was thinking out loud" i said nervously while rubbing the back of my neck.

Then a alarm comes up from the bounty.

"Who are they?!" Nya almost yelled.
"I don't know , but we have to fight them. Let's go!" John said.
"Ehh who put you in charge?" I asked.
"Knock it off Kai , we have to save Ninjago again!" Cole said while running towards the door.
I just rolled my eyes and followed him.

{Time break}

We were in Ninjago city to see... Shadow people or something?
"C'mon , we can do this!" Lloyd yelled.

"Ninja-Go!"
They did spinjitsu , then i remembered.. i can't do spinjitsu.

I decided to fight with my fighting skills.
I charged at a shadow and tried so slash at him with my sword.
But it went right through him... without any harm.
"What?" I looked at my sword and at that shadow again.

In a quick movement the shadow kicked me in the chest.
How can they touch me while i can't touch them!

Lloyd's POV

We did spinjitsu.. but it didn't work..
"Our spinjitsu doesn't work!" Cole half yelled.

"Let me help you out" John said while doing spinjitsu.
He slash into a shadow and it disappeared.

"How can you do that?!" I almost yelled.
"That's it!" Zane said while blocking an attack of a shadow.
"What?" I asked confused.
"The shadow's can't fight against light, that's why they disappeared.
Fire is light!"
"Zane! You're a genius do you know that?" I said while smiling.

"John! Only you can defeat the shadows, you can do it! I believe in you!" I yelled at him.
"Okay!"  John responded.

Kai's POV

I lay on the ground while the shadow raise up his sword to stab me.
This is the end of me.. isn't it..
Out of nowhere i could see a red tornado, it hit the shadow and it disappeared.
I grumbled , i know exactly who it was.
...John...

I stand up and face him.
"Well, aren't you gonna say something?" John crossed his arms in annoyance.
"No" i glared at him.
"Whatever, but i'm the only one who can defeat these guys so.. later" he spinned further while defeating some shadows.

Later there was one shadow left , not just a shadow.. a big one.
"Let the master of fire handle it" John said.
I snorted "Let the master of fire handle it" i said in a higher voice of annoyance.

John run to that shadow and his hands go on fire.
He punched two times at the shadow with his fists while they were on fire.
I heard the others cheering behind me.

I huffed.. no i'm not jealous.. okay a little bit, but hey, how will you react if you loss your powers to a random person.

Then out of nowhere i felt a water drop on my face.
Yay now it's gonna rain... i hate rain.

John attacked for the last time and the shadow disappeared.
Okay i admit it.. it was very impressive...

"Good job John!" Cole patted his back.
"Woa you have to teach me that dude!" Jay yelled while he held his arms in the air.
"Where did you learn that?" Skylor asked.
"Well beautiful , i learned it from myself." He winked at Skylor.

I quickly stand between them "Okay, impressive Blah blah blah , can we go home now?"
"Kai!  you can be a little more nicer towards John" Skylor cross her arms.

"Yeah, i mean he did literally nothing to you... and maybe it is better that someone comes into your place... temporary" Jay rubbed the back of his neck.

I give him the death look.
He gulped and hide behind Nya.

"Just.. keep your temper down Kai" Nya said with a smile.
"Whatever" I crossed my arms while walking towards the bounty.

I heard behind me to hear Jay saying/Yelling "John! John! John!" And the others joined in.
They lifted him up while they cheered for him.

Maybe they can't see that he's hiding something but i can , and i'm not gonna give up.

I walked towards the bounty when i felt raindrops on my face.
"Eugg stupid rain.." i mumbled.
