Oh god….How did I let things get so out of hand…? What am I supposed to do….?

“Do you need me to carry you, doll?” Allen asked.

It had been almost a month since the incident at my old school. I had been in the hospital, recovering from the surgery to remove the bullet from Alfred’s gunshot. I had been lucky. The damage had been minimal, considering it had hit the side of my stomach, and they were able to fix it up without any major complications.

They had kept me in the hospital under observation for longer than they had originally planned, just in case. Haydn would hardly leave my side the whole time. There were a few times when Oliver managed to convince her to go back to their house with him for a good night's rest, but for the most part she even slept in my hospital room on a cot they had brought in for her.

The boys also took turns visiting as well. The nurse had yelled at them the first day when they had all tried coming at the same time. She had told them that it was too many people to be in the room at once, and that they could only have a max of four people.

Haydn obviously was always going to be there so they decided to form small groups and switch off who visited when. Luciano, Lutz, and Kuro went first, followed by Zao and Viktor. Then Allen and Matt came, Oliver and Francois coming last before the cycle repeated.

At times, Luciano would complain that his brother wanted to come and meet me after hearing so much about me, but he wouldn't let him. He said that Flavio was too much for someone who needed to be resting, even though I had said it easy alright for him to come if he wanted. I wanted to meet him as well after hearing some of Luciano’s stories, but he never let him come.

So now, here I was, having Haydn help me get out of Matt’s car. I had been discharged from the hospital today, so Allen and Matt had come to take me “home”. Even Haydn was calling it that by now.

For the first week or two, Haydn had always been complaining about the situation when the guys weren't present. She would cry over how much she missed our family, and how horrible it was that we couldn't go home anymore, and I would comfort her.

No one had told us so, but we knew. We had been witnesses to their crimes at the school. There was no way they were just letting us go after everything that had happened.

I wasn't sure exactly when her viewpoint had began to change. I had a feeling it was because of Oliver. The two were really good friends by now.

The first time he had convinced her to go back home with them instead of staying at the hospital, she had told me about how they had made a bunch of cupcakes and then stayed up late watching the Harry Potter movies and eating them. She had stories like that to tell me every time she came back from staying the night there.

I was just glad she had began to enjoy it there instead of thinking of it as a prison. I was still unsure of everything. Yes, I had became friends with all of the guys after all the time I had spent with them when they came to visit, but still. I couldn't forget that we were technically captives, even if they all weren't acting as if we were. Maybe it was because I had shot Alfred. Maybe they thought of me as one of them now.

“Do you need me to carry you, doll?” Allen asked, moving to help Haydn get me out of the car.

I was still having a bit of trouble moving around. If I was just walking around my hospital room, I was fine. Getting out of a car, on the other hand, proved to be a bit more difficult.

“No, I'm alright,” I smiled at him as thanks, placing my arm around Haydn’s shoulder to use her as a crutch to help me walk. “I can walk, I just need a bit of help. Today's been really tiresome….”
