Crashing sounds weren’t a common occurrence in the household, so of course I was quite alarmed to hear them while I was up in my room reading one night. Everyone knew better than to break things, at least while inside the house, unless they wanted to be on the receiving end of Luciano’s rage.

I was quick to get downstairs to see what was going on. To my surprise, Francois was in the living room beside the bar. There were broken glasses, even a broken bottle of whatever he must have been drinking, near him.

Everyone was either in the living room or dining room, watching the ongoing scene. Most were annoyed, however a few, like Allen and Matt, treated it like a normal occurrence. And for some reason...Oliver had a video camera out and was recording the whole thing…?

“What’s going on?” I questioned, standing beside the male who was facing an extremely agitated Francois. “And why are you recording this?”

“Oh...poppet you probably don’t want to be here for this,” Oliver glanced down at me, concern apparent in his eyes. “Francois is drunk….Whenever he goes on drunken rampages like this, I always record it to get him to stop drinking so much. It works...for a while.”

“Oh, sure,” Francois rolled his eyes. “Talk as if I’m not here why don’t you?”

I thought it best to address him this time so I didn’t make things worse. “I’m sorry. I just asked the first person I saw.”

He snorted. “That’s right, apologize like the bitch you are.”

“What?” I exclaimed in surprise.

Now everyone was paying close attention to the conversation.

“Francois!” Oliver exclaimed.

“She’s got nothing to do with this,” Allen stepped in as well. “So leave her alone.”

“Yeah, we should have left her alone alright,” he glared right at me, moving to get in my face. “Alone and dead in a fucking ditch."

"It could have been over for us if her sister had gone to the cops after the stunt she pulled. How do you all not realize that? Oh, right! She’s got you all wrapped around her little finger. Hell, we shouldn’t have brought the two of them with us in the first place. We should have just killed them if you ask me.”

I was in complete shock. Was this how he really felt about me…? If so...

Dammit! I couldn’t think about that! There’s no way I’d let him see me cry after he said all that.

“Oh yeah? Well if that’s how you really feel, then maybe I shouldn’t have come back in the first place!” I shouted back. “I should have just escaped with my sister! But I didn’t want to leave you guys!”

“That’s your mistake,” he rolled his eyes, leaning back to sit at the bar. “Guess you’ve got bad judgement.”

Everyone else didn’t even know what to say now that we were arguing amongst ourselves. But I was fuming in anger at this point. Still, I should have just kept my cool instead of blowing it like I did…

“Well then I guess my other big mistake was falling for you!” I snapped.

The room went deathly silent. Nobody knew what to say to that, they were all just staring in shock.

Francois smirked. “Guess so.”

I wanted to scream at him some more, but all I did was make a few angry noises as I turned my back on him and stormed up the stairs.
