Mordecai and Margaret were training me well. They were such good trainers! The funny story was that they were 23 years old, and that Mordecai's boss, Benson, made him do this. Margaret volunteered.
I practiced with different weapons and my best was the throwing knives. Mordecai was pretty good with everything, I guess he fought a lot. Margaret's best weapon was the spear.
I was going to practice with a dummy when I bumped into someone. It was Finn, and he seemed REALLY ticked off.
"Watch where you're going," he harshly says. I stick my tongue out at him. Mordecai comes over to me and whispers not to upset him. Finn was apparently short-tempered.
"How do you know?" I ask.
"We're on the same channel." I nod.
"Everyone get back to your mentor," the Cartoon Network announcer says. I walk to Hallie and Robbie. We were told to go back to our rooms.
I decide that I should take a bath. It's the only way that soothes me. I also want to smell nice because I got kinda sweaty from training. After my bath it was dinner.
At dinner we discussed what we had to do tomorrow.
"Arisa and Pelly will be telling you what to do," Hallie says.
"Pelly? Is that Robbie's stylist?" Hallie nods.
"Are they allowed to drown the players?" McGucket asks. We all stare at him.
"What?" He asks.
"Oh, don't eat nightlock. And the blue berries. They're poisonous. You'd be dead in an instant," Hallie says. Robbie and I nod.
A waiter takes away our food and Hallie tells us to go back to our rooms. I try to fall asleep but I can't so I write in my diary.
Dear Diary,
Tomorrow we get ready for our interview with Ice King. It's another day, but Arisa is going to tell me what to do and how to walk and smile and stuff. It's going to be nice, because Ice King always compliments people even if they look horrible.
I gotta make sure I'm prepared for tomorrow, and I'm getting kinda tired, so I'm gonna go to bed now. Goodnight!
The next day Arisa and Pelly ate breakfast with us. They told us sort of the play but Hallie said to save it for later. They understand. A few minutes later Arisa walks with me to my room.
"Are you excited?"
"For the Games or the interview?" I ask.
"Both," Arisa replies.
"Games - no. Interview - yes." Arisa laughs.
"I switched your dress because I thought the sweater one would be hard for you. And the heels are an inch shorter." This is what I mean by Arisa being super-sweet! She's always by my side.
She gives me a stunning dress. It was a one-strap dress with the strap having a peacock feather on it. By my waist the dress is wrinkled. I can't even explain how amazing it looks.
"Oh Arisa! This is beautiful!" I say dreamily. She smiles and hugs me.
I go into the bathroom and change into my dress. I come out, with a big smile.
"Mabel, you look stunning!" She says.
"I got it from the best," I say grinning.
"Now I'll just pin up your hair."
She pins it up and where my headband would usually be she made it braided. I looked even more stunning.
"Thank you Arisa," I whisper. "Thank you so much."
