The Cartoon Games

Chapter 13

"Attention tributes! There will be a feast at the cornucopia. There will be bags for what your teammates need." A voice came over the loudspeaker.

If Finn, April and Leonardo haven't killed us yet, they wouldn't kill us while we were at the feast. I go toward Mordecai and Robbie. "Stay here. I'm going to that feast," I say.

"No. We aren't letting you go," said Mordecai.

"Have you looked at yourself? You look like you're about to die and Robbie's about to bleed to death. If the careers haven't killed us yet, would it make a difference?" I say.

"Actually yes. You'll be all alone and they have a privilege to attack you," Robbie chimes in. I groan. "I'm not letting either of you die, I'm going and don't argue with me."

I head toward the cornucopia. The careers have left to go there already. I'll wait until they grab their stuff and then grab districts 6 and 12. But then that puts Robbie and Mordecai at risk. Mordecai is too weak to get up and by the time Robbie can actually fight he'll lose all his blood because I bet the careers will probably cut his arm or even worse. I just need to be quick. I hide behind a bush and eavesdrop on the careers.

"Do you think she's coming?" Asks April.

"She has to. She cares too much about those boys to let them die," Finn says.

"Either that or she just wants to win herself," Leo says.

"She'd never. If she and those boys were the last 3 she'd kill herself and make the decision to them," Finn explains. He's knows me so well.

"You think we should let her win? I mean, the poor girl's 12, and it's not even like she was with her parents at the time," April says.

"April, are you serious? Think of how many people like our show. We at least have merchandise. Her show doesn't," Leo says.

That makes me steam. I see Finn getting angry too.

"Uh, HELLO? My show should be the one that should stay! At least my show is important. Think of all the boys that like mine," Finn says, acting cool.

"Oh really? YOUR show can't continue. Bubblegum's dead. SHE'S DEAD. Your show can't continue without her. So it's not like you should win anyways!" Leo yells.

That makes me upset. That means Mordecai can't win. But he has to. That doesn't always happen! They could just make a replica Margaret!

"Leo calm down! You're acting like Raphael," April says.

"I'M the leader. Not you. I can kill you right now and win. But no, I'm letting you enjoy your life! I can kill Robbie or Mabel, but I'm letting them have it! So there! You want me to kill you? HUH?" Leo screams at April. Him being in the games is making him go psycho.

"STOP FIGHTING! Come on, she's not coming anyways. Let's finish off Mordecai and Robbie, and we'll save the best for last." They walk away from the cornucopia.

As soon as the coast in clear I run towards the cornucopia. I need to be quick. They're coming for those boys. I grab the bag that says District 12 and 6 and run towards the stone wall.

They aren't there.

Then 2 cannons go off. I panic and see if those boys were the ones that died.
