Sarah couldn't find comfort in her solitude. Worrying about her Dad's safety only intensified her anxiety. She never liked Trevor's energy when he was around. There was something about him that just never felt right to her. Hiding out with Trevor, while Scott was out in the hotel having to fend for himself, began to agitate Sarah. Scott risked his life so that Sarah could escape and she wanted to return the favor. Even though she was upset with Scott, he was still her family, and he deserved more than being forgotten. Rocking back and forth on the toilet Sarah thought about what she could do to help Scott. Thoughts of finding Scott intensified when she heard a phone ring from inside the room.

Trevor jumped up from the floor at the sound of the phone. Sarah quietly listened as he raced across the floor. From inside the bathroom she couldn't make out what was being said by Trevor. By the time she got to her feet and exited the bathroom, Trevor was hanging the phone back up. She thought about entering the room, but the thought of seeing the dead body made her second guess that decision. Trevor heard the bathroom door open and approached her location.

"Who was that," Sarah asked.

"It was nobody," he replied.

"Nobody? We're being chased around a hotel by murderers, in a deathtrap hotel, someone calls on the phone, and it's nobody?"

"Yeah, it was nobody. No one was there. It was nobody."

"But I heard you talking."

"I was hoping someone was listening. Maybe there was technical difficulties on their end. I was sending out a message for help. Who knows? Maybe it worked. I'm grasping for straws here."

Sarah felt in her gut that he was lying, but arguing about it was the last thing she wanted to do.

"We've got to find my Dad," she said.

"We should just stay put. That's what he would want. He would want you to stay safe."

"That might be what he wants, but I want to make sure he's alright. He's injured, and if he gets away from that bitch, I want to help him if I'm able."

"He'll be alright. Just stay in here."

"Listen, thank you for your help, but you're not going to tell me what I am and am not going to do. I can't just sit here. I've got to try something. You can stay here if you want."

Sarah got nervous as she could see aggression building up in Trevor's eyes. Trevor was doing his best at hiding his feelings, but his body language was giving it all away.

"You can leave," Trevor told her. "But if you get yourself in trouble, I can't promise that I'll be there to help."

"That's fine Trevor. Not worried about that. Like I said, thank you for your help."

Trevor backed away from Sarah as she moved toward the door. He stayed close to her as she opened the door to walk outside. He was nervous about what she would let in by breaching their security. Sarah cracked the door and slightly poked her head out to inspect the hallway. The longer she didn't see anyone, the more comfortable she felt about leaving the room. When she was out in the hallway, Trevor didn't immediately close the door. He kept an eye on her from the room because he was curious about what would happen.

Sarah walked close to the wall as she approached the doors of the other rooms. She walked toward the elevator to get a view of the lobby. When she reached her first destination, her palms were sweaty, a lump was in her throat, and her heart was pounding. She leaned over the balcony and looked down at the lobby. For the moment, everything was quiet, and she couldn't see anybody. She thought about how her cell phone was laying on the night stand, next to the bed, back in their room. She would give anything to have a way to contact her Dad. She was now in the middle of a vicious game of hide-and-seek.
