Chapter 25

We land on the other side only for Kitty to storm up to Rock.
"I wanted to swing across." She hisses. "Do you know how rare it is to swing across a lake?"
"Maybe do it when we're not in a hurry and the waters aren't infested with piranha." I step in between her and Rock.
"I could help with the piranha infested part." Jyugo grins, activating his knife hands once more.
"NO!" Uno yells.
"Speaking of which," CJ interrupts, "how are your toes, Jyugo?"
Jyugo lifts up a foot and wiggles his toes. "One did get bitten off."
Uno sighs. "Jyugo, I already told you, humans have only five toes per foot."
"I know, but I'm pretty sure I had six on this foot this morning."
"You said you didn't know!"
"I feel the phantom toe. I miss it." Jyugo morns the loss of his, possibly fictional, toe.
"Getting back to the task at hand." I walk up to the door with a big green four on one side and take out Sully's key card. "You gonna open this, Jyugo, or should I?"
Jyugo reverts his swords back into hands. "I got it."
"I wonder what'll be on the other side?" CJ asks.
Uno shrugs. "Who knows?"
"Whatever it is," Jyugo pushes open the door, "at least we're almost out of building 13."
