Chapter 15

"Who's that?" Kitty asks.
The crowd of inmates parts to revel the one and only, Ary.
I ignore Kitty and step forward. "If it isn't my terrible wife. How's cell 2 treating you?"
"Better than you ever could." She sneers.
"So does that mean you'll sign the divorce papers yet?"
Ary screeches and throws a chair at my head. I duck in time, but it knocks down CJ. She lets out a soft "uft" before falling.
"Where the hell do you get those?! There are only benches in this room?! Where the hell are these chairs from?!"
Ary proceeds to launch yet another chair at my head.
"Fine." I grumble, reaching behind my back. "Go shove this up your ass." I toss the cactus at her.
She ducks causing the cactus to hit Shiro's stomach. Shit.
"Uh, hey, sorry big guy." I try to apologize.
"Yeah, we were just messing around." Ary also makes a move to cover her ass.
"Yeah, def-" I am cut off by Shiro's large arm wrapping around Ary and I.
He walks over to one side of the room and slams Ary down before crossing to the furthest side opposite that and forces me down. Shiro gives me the stink eye before stomping back to the kitchens. Kitty and CJ run over to me.
"So that was Ary?" Kitty asks.
I rub a shoulder. "Unfortunately."
"What'd you say about divorce papers? Was that true or another joke?" She continues.
"Heh, well." I scratch the back of my neck. "That's true. We went to one of those marriage drive thru after escaping prison together in Vegas. Cops showed up after the wedding and we were split up, it was a very busy night so I forgot we did get married. Then when I tossed in here, Ary remembered me and our marriage but I didn't so she was a bit upset."
"A bit?" CJ looks at Ary who is glaring at me from across the caf.
I shrug. "I tried to convince her to just let us get divorced, but she's insistent to stay married. No clue why. Anyway, we were separated due to too many incidents like what you just saw."
"I'm hungry." Kitty sighs. "Where do we get food?"
I point to the kitchen window. "I'm gonna wait until Shiro stops serving and switches with someone else, I don't want to be glared at the whole time. You two go on without me."
