Nanbaka Indulgence

Chapter 5

The leap probably lasted only a few seconds, but it felt much longer. Once in the hole, it felt like every side of me was being pushed inwards. But feeling like I was being put into the world's smallest box wasn't the end of it. It was cold, burning cold.
But as quickly as it began, it was over.
I blink to see CJ and Kitty also coming to their senses.
"Ugh." I sit up and stretch. "0/10, would not leap again."
"Surprisingly." CJ also makes her way to her feet. "It gets better. Still horrible, but less so."
I get on my knees and start looking for my ball. Where the hell did you roll off to?
I see a splat of blue against the stone wall. There you are.
I reach to wrap my hand around the ball only to feel something warm under my palm. I look up and scream.
Kitty and CJ run over to see what all the noise was about.
"Jyugo!" CJ gasps at the boy currently holding my ball.
"NUMBER 15!" I hear Haijme shout.
Shit.
I grab CJ and Kitty by the wrists and shove them back towards the portal.
"Lennyyyy," CJ whines, pulling against my grip, "that's Jyugo."
"I know. Now that we know where he is, we can return, but we have to get out of here before Haijme kills us, because then we'll never come back." I shove both girls back through the portal and turn to see Jyugo grabbed by Haijme, my ball still clutched in his hand.
Haijme notices me watching but before he can react, I follow my cell mates back to our side.
