(Y/n)'s POV

In the corner was where I stood. Events like this didn't interest me in any way. Nothing interesting seemed to ever happen on Earth. No magic, no family, no freedom...

"Lady (Y/n)?" asked Sebastian.
"Huh? What is it?"
"I was calling you for quite some time. Was there something on your mind?"
"Nothing much. Anyway, what did you need me for?"
"The young master has ordered you to stall that tall man over there," he replied while pointing to someone that looked like a different version of Sebastian.
"*sigh* Fine."

I slowly made my way over to the strange man.

"Good evening, sir."
"Hello milady," he greeted with fake respect.
"What brings you to an event such as this?"
"I'm simply accompanying my master," he replied while looking at a boy with blonde hair.
"May I ask what your name may be?"
"My apologies. Claude, at your service."

He bowed while glaring sharply at someone behind me. This scent was all too familiar. Sebastian...

"Yes? Did I receive anything?"
"No, Lady (Y/n)," Sebastian replied before taking his leave.

Tch, speaking so politely to him just felt weird. Why did I have to keep up this act?

"I'm terribly sorry but I have to tend to my master," Claude exclaimed.

Oh no, what do I do? Ugh, why dif it have to be me to keep stalling him?

I grabbed onto his arm.

"Would it be too much to ask for one dance?"
"*sigh* Of course, milady."

While I was dancing with him, I couldn't help but notice that he seemed a little irritated.

"Claude, is something on your mind?"
"No, nothing."

This dance was getting more uncomfortable as every minute passed by.

Everyone had left and yet, here we were. Why did Ciel have to order everyone to leave? Did something happen? Even Elizabeth left...

"Where's Alois?" Claude asked once he had pulled my hands behind my back.
"Let her go. Once you do, I might feel obliged to tell you," Ciel replied.
"Tch, I don't have time for your petty games. She dies if you don't share your thoughts."
"Fine then. Go on, kill her if you can."

Claude pulled out a gun and aimed it at my head.

"This is your last chance, Ciel Phantomhive. Where is Alois Trancy?" Claude asked in a threatening tone.
"I'm not exactly sure, my thoughts are clouded," Ciel answered with a smirk.

Before the trigger went off, I grabbed Claude's arm and flipped him over so that he was on his back. The gun was still in his hand. I kicked it and caught it before it fell again.

"Now I suggest you leave before I order her to kill you," Ciel exclaimed.
"Tch, I'm not leaving without Alois. He is needed for a vital part of my plan."
"Sebastian, this is an order. Stop Claude from following me."
"Yes, my lord."

Ciel gestured for me to follow him, which I did. We descended down some stairs, into what seemed like an extra room below the manor.

In the room, the boy that I saw before was tied to a chair.

"This is Alois Trancy. He has stolen something of mine. Where do you think he has hidden it?" asked Ciel.
"There is a chance that he hid it with his butler, Claude. I don't see this boy as someone that would be able to come up with any good plans."
"True, my thoughts exactly. What do you think we should do with him?"
"I'm not too sure about that. I haven't been here long enough to have gained a lot of knowledge on nobility."
"You haven't been here long enough?"
"I lived in a rural area, with my family. We weren't rich nor loved. They passed away recently..."
"Oh, I see. Anyway, go up and help Sebastian."

*sigh* Did I honestly have to fight with that man? He seemed fine by himself. As I ascended up the stairs with Ciel behind me, I couldn't help but get this terrible feeling.

Yeah, now I know why I had that feeling... The whole place needed repairing. But it did seem a little strange. Normal humans wouldn't be able to do this...right?

"Have you gained a hold of him?" Ciel asked Sebastian.
"No, it seems that the foul beast has grown stronger since the last time we saw him," Sebastian replied while carefully, but quickly, stitching up his jacket.
"(Y/n), what do you think of this devilish fight?" Ciel asked.
"It made a mess."

Why was he asking for my opinion? Tch, like I would reveal anything to him.

"Sebastian, let's go."

He looked at me and nodded before taking off. I didn't move until he had brought Claude back. Definitely not human....demons. They had to be.

I reached inside Claude's jacket's pocket and pulled out a blue ring.

"Is this the thing that you've lost, master Ciel?"
"Yes."

I handed him the ring. It looked too big for him.

~Some time later~

"What you witnessed before was a fight between demons," exclaimed Ciel.
"Demons do not exist, master Ciel. If that was intended to be a joke, then I'm terribly sorry. I have very bad humour."
"Very well."

Was he serious? That was just too obvious. Luckily I didn't say anything stupid or else I would've been caught.

"(Y/n), where did you learn how to fight?" Sebastian asked once we were alone.
"I lived where there were many thieves. I had to teach myself."
"Interesting...are you sure about that?"

I glared at him before leaving. While inside my room, I let my wings appear. The pain on my back was too much... I needed to use my wings. They've grown too stiff.

Tch, why did I have to be born like this?
Suddenly, the meeting between the demons and angels flowed back into my mind. Was I really a monster?
