Chapter 14

(Y/n)'s POV

"Michael, Saki, that's enough. I'll take over for now," ordered Katrina.

They bowed before taking their leave. I couldn't do anything as she sent attack after attack.

"How does it feel to suffer? You hurt me yesterday and I won't leave without getting my revenge," she exclaimed.
"I can bear the pain as long as you don't hurt Liam."
"If not Liam, shall I hurt Sebastian instead?"
"Don't touch them."
"It's a shame really. You're trapped here while they desperately try to save you but all their efforts will be worth nothing."
"Shut up."
"Don't order me around!"

By the time she finished her torturing, I couldn't move. Every part of my body felt like it was burning in fire. Blood dropped down my chin, along with the several cuts that oozed out an endless supply of blood.

"Eh, I'm getting bored. Best to come back tomorrow."

Sebastian's POV

On my way to (Y/n), I noticed a presence in the shadows.

"Oh, Sebastian? What brings you here?" asked Katrina.
"I've come to see (Y/n), Lady Katrina." I bowed as she walked towards me.

Before I could do anything, she lifted my chin up with two fingers and placed her lips upon mine.

"Sebastian, I love you."
"I'm terribly sorry, Lady Katrina. But I cannot return those feelings."
"Why not? Who could possibly be better than the demon princess?"
"I'm sorry but there is someone."
"Sorry to interrupt but your father needs a talk with you, Lady Katrina," exclaimed a guard.

She left after looking at me one last time. Straight after, I went to (Y/n)'s cell and found her in a terrible condition.

Once she noticed me, she smiled and managed to say my name. I don't know why but I was glad that she was calling out for me.

"Sebastian, y-you came back..."

I touched her cheek and kissed her forehead. Her wounds starting healing slowly.

Before I took my hand away, she grabbed onto me.

"Please don't go...you being here helps take the pain away..."
"Of course, I'll stay."

No one's POV

Liam cried silently as Sebastian helped soothe (Y/n)'s pain. He was hiding behind the big metal doors, hoping and waiting that some day, (Y/n) would call out to him too but knew that it was impossible.

The pain he had hidden away in his heart was overwhelming. Marrying Katrina...he thought that that would allow him to take his mind off of (Y/n).

Sebastian had felt some emotion in his heart for the first time. He didn't understand why he was feeling this way. Was (Y/n) the one causing his sudden feel of emotions?

(Y/n) felt a warmness in her heart. She was glad, honestly, that Sebastian had decided to come for a visit. Although her mind would occasionally wonder to Liam and his well-being, hoping that Katrina hasn't done anything bad.

Meanwhile, Ciel had just received a letter from Lau saying that he was going to come over for a visit.

"*sigh* Where is Sebastian when I need him?" Ciel asked no one in particular.
"Ah, the Earl of Funtom. I haven't seen you in a while," Lau exclaimed.
"I just received your letter a few minutes ago. How did you get here so fast?"
"Well, I was supposed to deliver that letter yesterday but I forgot so I thought 'why not just tell my messenger pigeon to deliver it while I'm here?'"

Ciel sighed in annoyance.

"Where's your butler?" asked Lau.
"I'm not exactly sure," Ciel replied with a bored expression.
"You seem bored. Want to play a game of chess?"
"Alright but I can't promise you that you'll win."
"Of course."

Katrina's POV

Tch, I couldn't believe that (Y/n) girl. She stole the heart of both my love and future husband whom I will be forced to marry.

"Is something wrong?" asked father.
"Of course there is. I want (Y/n) dead."
"The time will come soon," he replied like he had everything planned.
"I'm sorry but you will not kill her," Liam said while stopping the guards from hurting him.
"Why are you here?" father asked.
"To see how Katrina's doing. She seems to have her eyes on Sebastian."
"Is that true?"

I nodded at father. There was no point in lying.

"This has just gotten interesting."
"So what will you do?" asked Liam.

Instead of answering his question, I sent a powerful spell towards him. He simply blocked it.

"Seems like you're strong enough to block my attacks."
"What makes you think I wouldn't be able to?"
"Is it painful? Seeing (Y/n) with Sebastian? I know my heart hurts."
"Tch, that's none of your business."

I stood up on my toes and kissed his cheek. I could tell that he was stopping himself from punching me.

"Don't play with me, Katrina."
"Don't you want to forget about (Y/n)?"

He simply slammed the door and left as a reply.

Liam's POV

Tch, (Y/n) was right. She was terrible. But I'll be willing to give up everything for her.

Soon, I noticed that I was standing in front of her prison cell. I pushed the door open.

"(Y/n), your wounds have started healing."
"Liam, stop pretending to be happy for my sake. I know you're hurt on the inside."
"What are you talking about? I'm perfectly fine."

As I tried to smile, tears slid down my cheeks. She managed to stand up and pulled me into a hug.

"Don't cry, smile. I hate seeing you cry," she exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, I can't stop myself. I still love you no matter how hard I try to let go."
"Oh, so you think she's better than a demon princess? That's upsetting to hear," said Katrina.
"What are you doing here?" (Y/n) asked with a glare.
"To punish you, what else? Your wounds have almost healed so I'm here to make sure they don't."

(Y/n) grabbed onto me before I could even move one step towards Katrina, in hopes of hurting her so bad that she wouldn't be able to move.
