Sebastian's POV
"Have you finished with your business?" Ciel asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I...don't know."
"*sigh* Well, I guess that's good enough. This is an order: you are not to do things half-heartedly anymore!"
"Yes, my lord."He ordered me to go wash the dishes, which I did. Surprisingly, I was actually focusing and did not end up stopping halfway throughout the process.
Before I knew it, my mind was on (Y/n) again. We never had enough time together so why did you have to go so soon? Why do you always make me feel this way? Why...did I fall in love with you when you were going to leave me alone again?...
I looked out the window at the gardens. There was a forest beyond the land that the young master owned. Tch, I never cared about this before so why did I care now? *sigh* I must be turning insane.
"Hey."
"Liam, what are you doing here? Why do you come here? (Y/n)'s gone so I see no reason for you to come visit."
"Well, I don't need a reason. I just want someone to talk to..."
"Then I guess I'll keep you company."
"Thanks."We sat down next to the kitchen table. Not an ideal place for a simple conversation but it'd have to do. Even though he may be (Y/n)'s best friend, it doesn't change the fact that he killed her. I saw no point in showing courtesy or any kind of necessary manners.
"What have you been doing ever since...she died?"
"Just wandering around like an idiot," he exclaimed with a slight laugh.
"Hmm, sure suits an idiot."
"I see you still hate me just as much as before. So what have you been up to?"
"I have simply gone back to the time when (Y/n) was not around...or at least I'm trying to let her go."Ciel's POV
"What are you three up to?"
"Ah, nothing. We were just wondering where (Y/n) was. She hasn't been around," replied Finny.
"Oh..."
"Do you perhaps know where she is?" asked Meirin.
"She has found a new job elsewhere. I do not believe she will be coming back any time soon."
"What?! Why didn't she tell us?!" Finny asked, surprised and a little hurt.
"Don't ask me questions I cannot answer-"
"B-but (Y/n) would've at least said something to me. She wouldn't just leave like that...I thought we were friends..."
"*sigh* Here, I have a letter for you."Geez, he should really thank me. Why did I write that letter? I couldn't believe that I was doing this for Finny...or maybe it was for (Y/n). With her gone, my peaceful but boring days would continue. I guess this might as well be my way of saying thank you for bringing me some excitement.
Well, not that I cared anymore. (Y/n) wasn't a big part of my life and she never will be. But I will commend her for becoming a big part of Sebastian's. I don't ever recall seeing him love anyone.
Finny's POV
I tore the envelope apart, desperate to see what it was.
Dear Finny,
I have found a job overseas. I would've probably arrived there by the time you read this letter. I'm sorry I couldn't find the time to tell you sooner. The ship was going to leave without me. You were one of my best friends while I was at Ciel's mansion. Thank you for staying with me. Also, tell Meirin and Bard that I said hello. Well then, I guess this is goodbye.
(Y/n)I managed to smile. She did find the time to tell me after all. I was glad...(Y/n) didn't forget me.
"Oi, you're getting teary," exclaimed Bard.
"N-no I'm not. Some dust just got in my eye."
"Yeah right, that's what they all say."I noticed Ciel sitting on the couch reading a book by himself. He seemed as stoic as ever. I walked over and sat down next to him with a soft thump. He gave me a glance before returning to his world of reading.
"Is there something you need?" he finally asked after a few moments of silence.
"No, nothing. I uh...thank you for the letter!"He simply gave me a small smile and got up and left.
No one's POV
Sebastian remained in the library after Liam had left for heaven. He thought that that was the only place he could be left alone, but what he didn't know was that something else was there too.
A lone but peaceful 'being'. Well, not that it could be called a being anymore. 'It' had been watching this household for a while, especially the black-haired demon.
"*sigh* Reading all these books won't help me at all. What should I do?" Sebastian asked no one in particular.
He put the book down with a frown. No matter how hard he tried to forget, (Y/n) still remained in his mind like she was engraved in stone.
Sebastian, the invisible being thought quietly.
Sebastian got up and left through the door after a while of thinking about random things. He was getting a little restless, now that (Y/n) was gone from his eternal life.
Liam wasn't as hopeless as Sebastian but he did feel as guilty as an angel could get. He blamed himself continuously, regretting everything. Perhaps that was his atonement. He would never know.
"Sebastian! Where are you? My tea is cold," said Ciel.
"My apologies, young master. I'll warm it up straight away," Sebastian replied while taking the teapot. The death of (Y/n) (L/n) had changed them. No one could ever replace her. All that they could do was remember her, she deserved that at least.
