(Y/n)'s POV

Damn it...what was with Sebastian? Now I had to pretend that I was in a relationship with him. *sigh*

"I believe you need some medical treatment," exclaimed Sebastian.
"No, I don't. Go, I don't want to talk to you right now."
"My apologies for earlier."
"Tch, I can tell that you're not sincerely sorry."

I closed the door and sat down. What did Liam mean? What's going to happen to me? Was I...cursed?

~The next day~

"(Y/n), get ready to go out," Ciel ordered.
"Yes, master Ciel."

I simply grabbed a coat and put it over my shoulders before heading out.

I had to sit inside with Ciel while Sebastian managed the horses.

"(Y/n), I would very much appreciate it if you could tell me what you are," exclaimed Ciel.
"I'm sorry master Ciel but I can't tell you. It would cause trouble, not only for you but me as well."
"Are you sure about that? Are you not telling me for your own benefit?"
"Apologies, master Ciel."
"(Y/n), how about making a contract with me?"
"I see no need to. You already have Sebastian under your command."
"Sebastian has told me that you have extraordinary wings, quite unlike those of demons nor angels."
"Yes, master Ciel. That is true."
"I see."

The rest of the ride was filled with silence. It wasn't awkward. In fact, it was somewhat peaceful.

The carriage came to a stop. Sebastian held the door open for Ciel and me. Why did we have to come to town?

"(Y/n), do you mind getting some groceries?" asked Ciel.
"Of course not."

He nodded and handed me a list before leaving with Sebastian. *sigh* I headed towards the market, readying myself for a boring day.

~Timeskip brought to you by Ciel's cute smile~

"Where do you think you're going, (Y/n)?" Michael, a hunter, asked.
"Tch, why are you here? Why did the kings order you to come down to Earth?"
"To kill you. You know, in case you grow out of control."

He and his henchmen closed in on me. I cracked my neck. Time for a fight.

They all came charging at me. I dodged their attacks and kicked Michael's jaw. He wiped the blood away.

"Why don't you show us your wings? It won't hurt a bit. Just cutting them off and we'll be off. There's no need for killing," he said with a smile.
"In your dreams."

I forced the souls of the underworld to come out before running off. Tch, everything was against me. This world was cursed....no, my life was cursed.

"(Y/n), care for some help?" Sebastian asked.
"That would be very appreciated but right now, we can't fight them."
"What ever do you mean?" he asked while running with me.
"You've heard of the 'Tortured Knights', right? Well, the kings of heaven and hell have sent them after me."
"The Tortured Knights? For the kings to send them after you...how dangerous are you?"
"Tch, where's Ciel?"
"Back at the manor. I sent him back in case something like this would happen."

Our conversation was ruined by an explosion. Sebastian immediately had his arms around me. We landed not too far away from the source.

"Please accept my apology, (Y/n). It seems that I have not prevented scratches to appear."
"Sebastian, go home. This isn't your fight."
"It was Ciel's order that I protect you."

I couldn't answer his statement. We were interrupted by Michael, the leader of the Tortured Knights.

"Well, look at that. It seems that the cursed half angel, half demon has an accomplice."

Sebastian's eyes widened.

"Oh, it seems that the demon doesn't know of this. Well, should I tell him a bit about who you are?" Michael asked.
"Don't you dare..."
"Well, she's the daughter of an angel mother and demon father. Her fate was supposed to be decided a long time ago when she was born. Death was her destiny. But her parents kept her hidden and they were high officials as well... Anyway, we need her wings. They are the source of her power. If we cut them off, her life will be ended soon. Of course, there is a curse that comes with every mysterious thing."
"What are you talking about?"
"You'll soon become unstoppable. That is why we need you to be exterminated. The only other way is for your soul mate to be next to you. And that's most likely impossible for you."
"What does this have to do with a soul mate?" Sebastian asked.
"I don't know. The kings won't tell me anymore."
"Michael, take your team and leave Earth at once."
"Sorry but I only take orders from above."

Damn him. There was no point in fighting him here. This place was full of humans.

I grabbed Sebastian's hand and ran away while they were distracted.

Suddenly, I tripped over something and fell. Sebastian immediately picked me up and took me back to the manor. It seemed as if he had teleported us back. He sure was quick.

"Sebastian, what happened?" Ciel asked once Sebastian had put me down.
"Young master, in heaven and hell...there are some hunters called the 'Tortured Knights'. They are the strongest team, selectively chosen by the kings. They are usually not needed unless an extremely rare case has come up," explained Sebastian.
"Why would they be after (Y/n)?"
"She's half demon, half angel."

Ciel just looked at me with the same emotionless expression.

"Care to show me your abilities?" he asked.
"I'm sorry, master Ciel but there's no point. It'll just attract the hunters. They are most likely tracking me down as we speak."
"Interesting... Why did you come to Earth?"
"I had no choice. It was either here or death. My parents paid with their own lives to keep me alive. Tch, I shouldn't have trusted the kings. Of course they wouldn't let me go unharmed."

Suddenly, my head began hurting. The hunters had started tracking me.
