Forever and Always

Part XIV Forgotten Memories

The 4 mages have been living with soba for a year now.

The other 3 mages have been put to work, leaving Phoenix and Soba alone.

      "There will be a special visitor today." Soba said. He looked over at Phoenix, but she showed no emotion. "You act like your a prisoner or something. My castle is not a bad place. So stop acting like you deserve pity." He said trying not to sound too harsh.

       Phoenix looked a soba with an intense gaze and said "I'm excited to meet this special visitor." She started to give a fake smile. This will be the first time meeting someone else since being imprisoned her. She thought to herself.

        "You don't sound excited." He said.

        "Tell me more about this person." Phoenix said loosing her smile.

        "He's the same age as me, and also the successor to the throne in his country. He enjoys manipulating people and makes sure everything goes his way. He also has a younger brother who will always live in his shadow." Soba finished. "Don't do anything to embarrass me." He said smiling.

          Phoenix faces soba and got on one knee and said " I would never embarrass my master." With sarcasm in her voice.

         "I'm not your master." Soba said annoyed.

          "Then stop acting like it." Phoenix said as a quick retort standing back up.

          "Head back to your room, there is a dress waiting for you, you need to look presentable when our guest arrives." Said soba. He looked over at Phoenix and she did not look happy. "Please." He finished.

        Phoenix looked satisfied and said "alright, I'll be back soon." With that she headed off to her room.

        About an hour later Phoenix came back to the place where she left soba. She was dressed like a little princess. As she was walking down, she saw soba talking to a boy. She imagined it has to be the special guest.

         "Here she is now." Soba said loudly looking at Phoenix as she walked down the stairs. The boy turned about revealing his handsome face. He had long blond hair tied in a ponytail. His eyes looked like an ocean. He was beyond handsome.

          Phoenix made her way towards the boy and Soba. "Ah, you must be Phoenix. Soba told me about you, and I got to say he really didn't exaggerate." He took her hand and kissed the back of it. 

         Phoenix just started to smile and said "and you are?"

        "The name is Izana Whistalia. First son of the royal family of Clarines. It's a pleasure to meet you." He said giving her a smile. 

        "Let's all get a picture together" Phoenix said to the 2 boys. They both agreed and Phoenix got in the middle and they had a picture taken together.

Present Day

       Izana stood in his room looking down at the picture. There was him on the right, Soba on the left, and the most beautiful red head in the middle. The red head, Phoenix, my first love Izana thought to himself.  "Why would you torment me by stealing my memories about you away. You were my first love. And I don't plan on giving up easily." Izana said aloud to himself.

       Obi returned to Zen telling him everything her knew, except the promise shirayuki and soba made.

         "Mitsuhide!" Zen shouted. "Ready the horses, we're going after them."

         Mitsuhide started to run and Kiki went with him. They started running down the hall to the stables.

       Zen and Obi met Mitsuhide and Kiki out front of the castle. Zen saddled up and was about to leave when he heard someone calling to him. "Wait." IT was a familiar commanding voice.

       "Izana, what do you want, you can't stop me from leaving?" Zen stated. Izana was riding up on his horse.

        "No, I'm going to rescue a old friend." Izana said. He handed the picture of him shirayuki and soba to Zen.

        Zen looked at him and asked "What about the castle?"

        "Lord Haruka has been left in charge. We need to leave immediately if we want to catch up." Izana said. He lined his horse up with Zen and said "King Soba harbors a dark past, and with that, some horrendous secrets. If he can get Shirayuki to do his bidding, she might now come out alive." With that being said, they all started heading to Crystalia's castle.

A/N
    So sorry for not updated in a while, but now that's it's summe(for me at least) I'll have all the time in the world to write. But now there is another competitor for Shirayuki's heart. But Shirayuki has her heart set on being with Zen, what will happen. How far will Shirayuki go to protect him?

I forgot to say that this chapter is the one year  anniversary. That's for sticking with me for so long!!
