After eating at 'The Burger Shack' my brother and I along with my two best friends made our way to the local bookstore even though it seemed like the crazy thing to do right after graduating but this was our favorite hang out since it had something for all of us it had comics and mangas for Kevin a serious selection of novels for Tesla and a gorgeous antique gift shop for Gina not to mention once a year for three weeks the gypsy's would rent the back room to set up their own shop while using the campgrounds on the outlands of Boston which brought everything from exotic foods to beautiful handmade clothes and jewelry not to mention the boys... oh the boys.

In more than one way the Spellbound bookstore meant a lot to all four of us so it was only natural that we would visit it on a day like today. We spent the remainder of the day lazing around at the bookstore before finally heading out and making our way back home which was actually one of the wonders of its location since the path home was so perfect first stop was Tesla's house which was a must since her parents were so strict on her and then was Gina's which wasn't that big of a deal if she was home on time or not but even though nothing serious had ever happened in this town neither Kevin nor I would feel comfortable sending her home alone meaning the only next stop was Kevin and me so you see how the path home was so perfect for us all.

"So we'll do the sleepover tomorrow then?" asked Tesla as she backed up into her driveway.

"Yes," I answered her with a smile which she happily returned before giving us an excitingly happy wave and turning her body around to skip into her house.

"Sometimes I wonder how she's so happy all the damn time," Said Gina, and though I was almost certain she was just thinking out loud but I answered anyway, "Because neither of us could be," I said which I think only confused Gina. "What?" she asked.

"Think about it," said Kevin as he looked down to face her, "Levida and I are too screwed up by our over baring mother and under influential father to ever be that cheerful and you are too damn negative to ever pull that smile off so Tesla had no choice but to be the cheerful butterfly in our screwed-up circle of amigos" stated Kevin with a grin before turning back in the direction to Gina's house and began walking again.

I just laughed looping my arm through Gina's as I pulled her to my side following my brother, "She still has exorcists for parents." stated Gina with a shrug.

By the time Kevin and I got home, mom and dad would have had to have been done with dinner by then and mom was probably putting the kettle on the stove for our evening tea which was something she had accustomed us since children to the point that it had become an everyday thing.

"We're home" shouted Kevin as I closed the door behind us hanging out coats in the coat closet by the door, "Oddly chilly June don't you think," I thought out loud.

"Tell me about it. " he agreed.

"Ah you're home splendid and just in time for tea," said mother as she took both of our hands and urged us to the sitting room where our father already sat in his usual seat one leg crossed over the other as he enjoyed reading his favorite and repeatedly read book, 'All the kings men' he read that book only during our evening tea right before it is served he sits and reads then closes the book no matter where he was at and waits to read it tomorrow and though at times he changes book that is the one he cherishes most overall.

Kevin and I took a seat in our usual spot across from mom and dad observing as mom brought over the tea and biscuits which were really just cookies but she had always insisted on us calling them biscuits ever since her honeymoon trip to Denmark with dad she picked up all sorts of slang and costumes that for some reason she felt like teaching them to her children later on in America.
