Carson and I made our way down to the garden where Beatrice was already indulging in what seemed to be a very pleasant conversation with her husband while the familiar shaggy-haired male sat beside Nikolai looking very bored and as his eyes scanned the newspaper.

"I found her." Called out Carson as we closed the space between the large gazebo and us, he stepped up onto the wooden floors setting himself down beside his mother myself following not far behind as I took one of the two available seats, preferably the one away from Carson and beside Shaw.

I was trying not to glare but it was terribly difficult to ignore the fluttering feeling in my stomach as I found myself unable to push aside the last words he had said to me, was he serious? He couldn't be, he had to have been messing with me.

"Oh, how wonderful" Smiled Beatrice as she turned to look in my direction, "Now I know it isn't the most beautiful day out but I just thought it would be nice to enjoy the garden and the fresh air Denmark has to offer it being your first official day in Denmark after all." She said a very bright and somewhat forced smile on her face.

I smiled back in return shoving aside all thought of Carson for the moment as I nodded.

"Thank you, it actually seems like a beautiful day to me and it was very thoughtful of you," I said with a smile as I turned to Carson who to my surprise was staring directly at me with a very devilish expression.

Breakfast came and went and I couldn't help but notice the clouds shifting above us and though I was unaware of how long we had been here for I knew it couldn't have been long.

"It's common here" I heard Shaw say as he put down his glass of orange juice on the table and turned his head to look at me. I hadn't noticed it before but Shaw wasn't like Carson, at all. They may be friends but Carson was clean-cut and polished to the core while Shaw on the other hand seemed so much more simple in everything from their attitude to their wardrobe was almost completely opposite to the other.

I stared back at Shaw arching a single brow unsure of what he was referring to.

"The weather" he replied almost as if he knew exactly what was on my mind. I let out a soft laugh as I nodded lightly in return.

"Ah" I mouthed. Turning away from him my eyes landing on Carson who to my surprise was once again staring right at us his eyes glistening with amusement as he eyed me. I cocked a brow in his direction before narrowing my eyes slightly towards him.

I had no ill feelings towards the guy but after our last little encounter, I couldn't seem to focus on anything else for too long before my mind and eyes found themselves wondering over him once again.

"Well thank you for breakfast it was wonderful as always but I should be heading back to the shop," Shaw pushed himself back up from his seat now bringing himself to his feet as he looked down to each one of us before politely excusing himself.

There was silence for the next minute or so while Carson checked his phone and Beatrice indulged herself in a private conversation with her husband while I tossed the eggs around on my plate not really feeling as hungry as I thought I was.

I looked up my eyes falling on Carson as he stared down at his phone his thumb running across the screen scanning God knows what.

This was the first time I was actually able to look at him without feeling nervous or completely out of place as I allowed my eyes to take in his image. He had shaggy hair but not at all like Shaw's while he was an attractive mess, Carson's was more polished almost as if each strand of hair fell perfectly exactly where it was suppose to even as the honey-blonde strands fell over his eyes complementing the fair but lightly toned tan of his skin. He was kind of beautiful not to mention those eyes I kept drowning in were going to be the end of me.
