Professor Frollo signaled the end of our Muggle Studies lesson and immediately we began collecting our things. I shuddered a little as I caught his gaze sweeping across the classroom. Frollo was a creep, but overall the class was amazing! It was so interesting to learn about Muggles and their lives and their things! All of it was so fascinating!

Rapunzel shouldered her bag and joined me, Quasimodo in tow. She flipped her long, blonde braid over her shoulder. "Honestly, if it weren't about the outside world, I wouldn't take Frollo's class. He's just so...." She shook her head, making a face.

Quasimodo shrugged. "I dunno. He's always taken care of me. But I'm his nephew, so I'm probably a biased source." Quasimodo Hugo had become a fixture in our lives his first day at Hogwarts when some students had been making fun of his hump and bulging eye; Rapunzel and I had defended him and taken him in. He later confided in us that we were the very first friends he'd ever had. Since last year, when Frollo had taken over the job of Muggle Studies professor from Professor Grimsby, Quasimodo was also the only other student we knew of who lived with a staff member at Hogwarts, so he and Rapunzel were often left at Hogwarts. Sometimes, this made me feel a little left out, but I wouldn't trade our noisy beach house filled with sisters for anything.

Rapunzel smiled. "On the bright side, Quidditch practice is tonight!"

She and Quasi began discussing tactics and brooms and teams excitedly. I tuned them out and found myself face to face with the most gorgeous guy I had ever seen. He had eyes blue as the sky, and hair dark like night. He was as tall and broad like a mountain, and his smile could outshine the sun itself. His friend, Charlie Printz, said something to him and he threw his head back and let out a musical, joyful laugh. Oh that laughter! In that moment, I knew that I'd give anything to be the one to make him laugh. Or to make him smile. What was his name?
"Eric!" Philip Edinburgh called to him. He turned to him and his eyes lit up, delighted to see a friend. If only his eyes would light up for me.....

We followed the three Gryffindors up the stairs, but they turned and went off to Defense Against the Dark Arts on the second floor while we continued up to Charms on the first floor. I watched him and his friends laugh and joke until a sharp cough snapped me out of my revery.

Rapunzel and Quasi examined my face with small, sly smiles. "What?" I asked, suddenly frantic. "Is there something on my face?"

Rapunzel nodded and folded her arms. "Yep. You've got hearts in your eyes and a big, goofy grin on your face."

Quasi chuckled, "Oh no, poor Jim Hawkins! He'll be so heartbroken!"

Rapunzel laughed, "And Peter Pan!"

"Ling."

"Kenai."

"Maui."

"Chein Po."

"Denahi."

"Yao."

"Okay! Enough!" I exclaimed, cutting them off. As we walked into Professor Fairy's classroom, they guffawed at my blushing face turning as red as my hair.

As Charms class progressed, I couldn't focus on Professor Fairy's lesson on making produce grow the size of carriages. Her pumpkin easily grew with the incantation, "Engorgio!" And even though I watched Rapunzel's lettuce enlarge to fill the whole table, by the end of the class my tomato was still tiny.

"Ms. Atlantica, may I speak with you for a moment?" Professor Fairy called out to me. Rapunzel and Quasi glanced at me reassuringly before heading out to the Great Hall for lunch.

"Yes, Professor?" I asked timidly, chewing my lip. I wasn't one to get in trouble, and surely I had done nothing to warrant a detention. Oh, Father would kill me if I got a detention, the Howler wouldn't even be the beginning--
