Chapter 26 (Night At The Lake House)

'Yes Katy! I am going to be careful!'

'Come back before 3 am! Promise?'

'Yes! I promise!'

'Are your foster parents bringing you home?'

'Yes! Katy I am not going to walk home okay? They are going to drive me home after the new year party! Geez!'

'Be careful okay?'

'God! Katy will you ever let me off the hook?' I screamed as I shut the door of my parent's car.

'Hey mom! Hey dad!'

'Hey sweetheart! How has everything been? You have grown more beautiful since we last saw you!'

I cringed my nose as my dad kissed me. 'Thanks! But we both know that it is not true!'

'It is baby! I missed you so much!'

'I missed you too mom! I miss home!'

I shrieked and laugh as we had our little famuly reunion time. As dad drove off, I waved goodbye to Katy but she didn't seem to look happy. I smiled at her and sat back still in the back seat of the car. I placed Natherina on my lap and hugged it as I closed my eyes for a little rest. Tonight would be the best night ever. We are having a new year party at Alexis's lake house and it would be epic.

'Look at our sleepy Merebear! And look! She got herself a friend!'

I popped my eyes open and pretended to be offended. 'Hey I am not asleep yet!'

'Cute teddy you've got there Merebear!'

'Thanks daddy! Nathan won it for me!'

'Great! Now we have two lazy bears!' Mom said as she placed her hand on her forehead.

'Mom! I am not that lazy!'

'I know honey! Sleep for a while! You wouldn't be sleeping much tonight anyways!'

'Okay mom.'

(Katy's POV)

I was really worried when I knew that Catcat was going out for a new year's party until the middle of the night three hours away from me. I tried to remind her of the important stuff, and now she thinks that I am an annoying bitch.

My heart sank to the bottom of the sea when I saw Catcat putting on the most splendid smile ever as she saw her parents. I watched as she let her dad kiss her, and she hugged her mom. Catcat shut her eyes tight as she laughed. I sighed and John hugged me from behind without any signal, freaking me out.

'Holy shit John! I am not in the mood for this!'

'Sorry babe. Wait why are you crying?'

'Catcat... she left...'

'Katy, she is only leaving for a night! She is comming back like in less than 24 hours!'

'I know, but I haven't seen her smiling and laughing so happily. Catcat hates me.'

This new year party that I am going to is going to suck. Catcat went off with her parents for the new year party and she refused to let me join. I am probably going to the nightclub tonight but I couldn't possibly enjoy myself. I ignored John and went back into the house to take a shower.

'Hey sleepy head! Get up! We're here!'

I stretched my arms as the sun rays blinded me. Dad was already unloaded my things out of the trunk and bringing them into Alex's lake house. I unbuckled myself and got out of the car. I entered the house and Alex ran down the stairs to meet me.
