Chapter 41 (Will We Be Okay?)

(Catherina's POV)

I completely froze as Katy jumped into the car and then sped off. I could hear my heart pound as I watch Katy tighten her jaws and went home in the speed of light. She brought me to the bathroom, and opened the package. She handed the stick to me and asked me to take the test.

'Katy... what if I really am what we think I am? What should I do?'

'I don't know kitten, but I have to know what is it so that I can fix it.'

'I can't... I can't do this...'

'Yes! You can, well you have to...'

'I...'

I opened the test and did my pee on it. After I was done, I handed it over to Katy, then curled up into a ball and waited for the results. Katy's face was blank, she was terrified to look at it herself too. We waited in silence until Katy finally looked at it.

'I'm so sorry... Catcat honey... it's positive... you're... you're pregnant...'

'NO! I CAN'T BE! Please....'

The thoughts of myself giving birth was sickening. The thought of me being a mom at the age of 15 was bad, but a grandma  of age 35 is even worse. I started to punch my stomach, sending waves of piercing pain running through my nerves. I punched myself so hard that I could feel my stomach turn upside down. Katy immediately dropped the stick and grabbed my wrists. She re-opened a few cuts on me as blood came flooding out.

'Stop, we'll think of something okay?'

(Katy's POV)

'NO! I CAN'T BE PREGNANT! GET IT OUT OF ME! PLEASE KATY!'

'Hey honey hey... shhhh... it's only a nightmare... shhh it's okay...'

I dropped the water bottle and the cup and ran over to Catcat. Tears covered her face as she sat up.

'What do you mean? You told me that I was pregnant... YOU SAID THAT IT WAS POSITIVE!'

'You never took the test darling. When I was struggling with the box which wouldn't open, something happened to you. When I turned around you were on the floor twisting and turning, while clutching to your stomach. By the time I got to your side, you lost it and fainted. I was so scared... but now you're okay, Catcat you're fine... You are not pregnant...'

'I'm not? Katy what happened to me? Why did I faint then?'

'Oh about that... they think that it is a stomach ulcer.'

'Oh my god... what's going to happen to me?'

'Nothing much. They already gave you a surgery, it's going to be fine okay?'

'Katy there's like a hole in my stomach!'

'Yeah moving on honey...'

I smiled at Catcat as I tried my best to pretend to be not too worried. Catcat past out from the pain and she was unconcious for days.

'Katy go home, you've been here for ages and you should take a break. I will be fine here alone.'

'Honey are you sure? It's okay, I can stay with you.'

'No I'm fine, go home and take a rest. You need it.'

'Okay then, I'll be back in a few hours.'

I walked to the door, John was already outside waiting for me. I turned around catching one last look of Catcat, watching her smile faintly and urge me on. I smiled back at her and waved softly before closing the door behind me.
