Part Nine, Josh's POV:
Dinner went swell but the announcement about going to Australia seemed to have tense. I should've told my parents sooner but they'll understand, right? What about Thalia's parents, Mr & Mrs. Grace? What if they think I'm gonna leave her all the time? I wouldn't do that, not in a million of years. I have an idea.
After dinner, the mom's talked for awhile longer and so did the dad's. Lia & I said our goodnights and sweet dreams and went to bed. She was tired but it seemed that the trip was bugging her. She undressed without looking at me and I got ticked off too. My career is everything to me and filming 'Catching Fire' isn't a walk in the park. We crawled in bed and laid there not touching each other. She put her back towards me and sighed deeply, I took action and pulled her close to me.
I love the sense of feel we deal with. I don't have to say anything and the silence tells her everything I want to say. My mother may not approve to her but she won't let that interfere with us, right?
"Are you mad?" I whisper sorrowfully.
"No," she seemed tense. "Your mom doesn't like me, huh?"
"She'll come around." reassuring her.
"I hope. And what about Australia?" I was hoping we wouldn't talk about that.
"I have to film for 'Catching Fire' so the scenes will take in Australia for the weather."
"Just don't let me know so late, please." She whispered that I could barely hear her.
"I won't. Now rest." I pecked her forehead and drifted off to sleep.
We woke up together and laid in bed just in each other's arms wanting nothing more than being close to each other. I didn't wanna leave her here alone. The paps already started following her and she wan't ready for that. She spent the day with my parents and I spent it with hers.
They were amazing people, so nice and kind but protective too. They worried about her safety as much as I do. We made a plan to surprise her.
Thalia and my parents came home and they said it was great. My mom and her seem to get along now, it's relieving! They had no idea so I told them when she went to wash her makeup off.
Thalia's POV:
This was great! Mr. & Mrs. Hutcherson are so fun! We went to the carnival and of course, there were paps. We ignored them and they asked me how I would be when Josh leaves for Australia. I didn't know how to answer that. They said they have to leave the next day for a friend's surgery. That sucked because they've only been here for a day. We came home and I went with Josh to sleep. My ind was racing but I covered my emotion with tiredness.
We fell asleep when our conversation ended and woke up the next morning saying goodbye to our parents at the airport. Josh looked happy and cheerful so I asked.
"What's up, cheeky bunny?"
"Nothing," He smiled wide "I Have a date planned for us tonight."
"Should I cook?"
"No, don't worry."
I question his actions but shrug it off, maybe nothing, just a dinner.
I did hope for something greater though. We cleaned the house and watched a couple of movies then napped for three hours.
"Wake up, baby." He shook me softly.
"What time is it?"
"6:30, chef's gonna be here at 8."
"Chef? What? Here?"
"Yes, now go shower and stuff. Meet me in the kitchen when the clock strikes eight." He pecked my lips and shoved me to the room. I fell on the bed and dosed off into deep thoughts. Maybe he's gonna tell you that it should end because you're not enough? Maybe he finally saw your true, ugly colors. He doesn't love you, nor could he had ever loved you. My thoughts raise my insecurity and guilt takes over. I walk towards the full length mirror and examine my body. Is it my thighs? No, my legs in general? My cheeks? I bicker with myself and finally get ready with khaki colored dress and black ballet flats and let my loose curls hang. I apply mascara and concealer with thin layer of top liner.
"You're beautiful" I whisper to myself in the mirror. "He loves you and no one else. Trust him."
I fix up and walk out when the clock strikes eight like Josh said. I see him in the kitchen talking to the chef and greet the chef.
"This is pleasant." I smile at the chef. "Smells heavenly."
"Thanks ma'am, would you like a taste?"
"Please?" I take a spoon and notice something missing.
"Here," I take the cinnamon and sprinkle it then take another taste. "Better. You try."
He smiles and agrees. Josh and I sit on the table and enjoy our dinners sharing stories of our childhood and how the day with our parents were.
"Baby, I have something for you. Close your eyes." The chef leaves the house and I hear rustling.
"Open." He shows two plane tickets to Australia.
I smile so big, my face could explode!
"You mean we're going?" I say joyfully.
"Yes, baby. Me, you, private jet and a beautiful place to enjoy. I won't be with you all the time but you can visit the set too. The cast and crew can't wait to meet you either." He smiles.
"Aw! Thanks babe." I smile and we sit on the couch.
"I love you." I blurt out stating a fact.
A smile creeps over Josh's perfect lips. "I love you too."
The flight is earlier than we expected. We should be there by tomorrow night, their morning so we can sleep since jet lag is a bitch.
We shop the day before getting prepared but I have never been there so Josh tells me what to get and supply on.
The day we take flight is exciting! I look out of my window and move from now and then, reading my book. I go up to the flight deck and question how long it would take us to get there.
"About 2 hours ma'am."
"Can I steer the plane?" I blurt out.
"Haha, sure miss." I fly the plane and immediately learned. This was fun and a new experience. Who says they learned how to fly a plane in 10 minutes or so? Exactly.
We land and go straight to the hotel with paparazzi following us. We check in and go to our room. We'll be staying here for the next two weeks.
Let the fun begin.
