part twenty-two.

Part 22, Thalia's POV:

After telling Josh the news, he told me everything.

"I never thought this could happen, I couldn't let you go." Josh says.

"Let's celebrate that it's gone and I'm healthy now." I try to think of our position, are we together or not? "Josh, are we.... still on? Like a couple?" I put my head down when he tries to meet my eyes.

He lifts up my chin until I meet his beautiful eyes once again.

"It's only if you want to be back together as bad as I do." I nod happily and pull his lips close to mine.

"How's Levin?" I ask, not trying to show that I want to know what happened.

"We were never really anything. She led me on that day, I guess I went along. I haven't been anywhere either."

"Look, we're done with that. As long as we're both happy and healthy together makes me happy."

"Alright." Josh smiled at me.

"Let's go outside?" I suggest.

"Sure." I led him out and we announce that we're back on. Everyone seems relieved since they always said "we look so good with each other" or "match made in heaven" as Dayo always mentioned. He even mentioned that to me earlier today when we were cooking. I smile to myself as I open the doors to the backyard.

"Wait here." I tell Josh to stay at the door while I try to get everyone's attention.

"Everyone," I start regularly but no one can hear me. "Hello!" I yell and get everyone's attention and laugh a little. "Sorry, just had to get your attention. Anyway, I want to thank you all for being there when I needed someone to lean on instead of myself being the one always letting another lean on me. I couldn't ask for another group of crazy but amazing people to be stuck with in LA. You've all given me a strength no one gets alone but with people who show what's the meaning behind friends. Jennifer, I don't think I'd be here today if it weren't for you. You made the appointment and was there when I found out myself. Isabelle, thanks for bringing me the comfort a girl needs with nail polish and marshmallows!" She raises her soda and winks at me and I continue, "Dayo, thanks for making me move and become more active.  You are a main joint in me. Amandla, baby girl, I love you so much for giving me hope. I would've given up on everything if you weren't there to show me what I have going for me. Liam, Oh Mr. Hemsworth. You are one of a kind kangaroo riding man. You told me everything about Australia and you promised to take me there and we fulfilled that promise. I thank you so much as well as Miley." She's standing next to him, holding his hand tightly. "I love you both and wish you all the happiness a couple can have." I see everyone staring at me waiting for me to finish with Alex. "Alexander! Where are you?!" I look for Alex and he raises his soda to let me know he's on the porch with the next door neighbor's dog. I continue on my speech when I see his beautiful smile. "Oh Alex, you never left my side when you found out. You made sleepovers so complicated but way more fun than anyone else can have. You held me at night when I had these outbursts of tears. You never got mad when I fell asleep in the movie you wanted to see. You kept me safe from harm and I never wanna lose you. You stayed with me through everything, you're the one that I hold on too. I love you more than I did before and no one can ever take your place." My tears go down my face without moving my eyes from Alex. His eyes filled too and he ran over to me as everyone clapped and made a toast to me beating cancer.

"I thank you all. Josh, mind coming up here?" Josh walks up to where Alex and I are standing with my right hand holding Alex's hand and my left entwined with Josh's.

"Josh and I are back together." I blurt. 

Cheers and uneasiness is in the air and I feel Alex squeeze my hand.
