Part 14, Thalia's POV:

I was on birth control to lighten my period and this sure as hell came in handy. Josh sighed in relief.

"What would you do if I wasn't?" I asked Josh.

"I wouldn't leave you. I will take care of our child because it would be ours. I gave my virginity to the girl I love, why wouldn't I wanna grow old with kids of our own together? You're a bird, I'm a bird."

I giggle at the last part and fell asleep as he stroked my head.

Josh's POV:

We made love and I don't regret it a bit. I love this girl with everything we have. I don't have to speak to her and she can look in my eyes and see everything I wanna say but can't put into words. I rub her head to sleep and soon drift off to sleep as well.

The next morning...

I wake up with no Thalia in my arms but hear the shower going on. I crawl out of bed and check my phone with 3 missed calls from Rachel and two text reminders that Thalia & I both have an interview.

I don't call Rachel back because I'm done with her. She was a bump in a log, a realization that she wasn't for me.

It's 9:30 AM and it feels like 7. I knock on the bathroom door but she says it's open so I walk in to brush my teeth.

"Babe, Chris texted me saying we have an interview? since when did I get appointed for an interview?"

"Don't worry, they want us as the couples to promote sex talk."

"But we just lost our virginities...?"

I can't help but laugh a bit when she opens the shower curtain with a towel wrapped on her hair.

"We don't have to say our sex status so no worries."

She walks out and I hear the blowdryer going and I go in the shower.

"K, I'm ready." I yell aloud the room and walk into the bedroom slowly with Thalia examining her body. Lifting up her shirt rubbing her stomach, pinching her thighs, seeing her arms, neck and see she doesn't feel good enough.

"You're beautiful."

"I'm not as skinny as these girls who walk around in short shorts and tanks and have guys falling at their feet. I can't wear anything without questioning if I look good or not. I'm on  a tight rope and I'm tired of trying. You deserve someone who's decent looking without make up. I'm not what you want, just admit it." She stares at me and says this with the straightest face. I couldn't believe she felt like this. Her eyes started to fill and I pulled her into my arms and just heard her sobbing.

After a few minutes and teardrops pouring from those delicate eyes, I speak up.

"I couldn't care less about what size you wear, how tiny your waist is, how tall or short you are, your tummy, your arms. Your eyes are my favorite things about you. Your eyes caught my attention, not your body. You're beautiful from the inside and means more than a number of size. I'm falling at your feet and no one else's because they can't equal half of your beauty."

She dries her eyes and clears her face from makeup.

"Makeup free is the best thing you can offer."

"I'm sorry I did this. Insecurity feeds itself in me. I love you."

I peck her forehead and walk out into the blistering sun and drive off to the studio.

We meet up with Chris and the host, Stephanie, a middle aged woman no taller than 5'5. She greeted us onto the stage. The lights dim and we're soon on air.
