Viktor had done all the talking at check in. They had sat in silence at the gate for an hour, Viktor taking out his phone with his right hand as his left was occupied with Yuuri's hand holding him tightly. Boarding the plane had been easy and they currently were taking their seats, both of their carry on already tucked away into the overhead compartment.

Yuuri sat by the window, Viktor next to him as they waited patiently for the flight attendants to begin their safety spiel; Viktor leaning his head onto Yuuri's shoulder. "Ready for Italy?" Viktor whispered and Yuuri nodded. Viktor chuckled and closed his eye's wishing for nothing more than to open his eyes and find their plane landed in Italy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Viktor hadn't gotten his wish and had ended up waking with an hour left of the flight. Yuuri was gazing out the window, his eyes as cloudy as the sky, lost in thought. Viktor glanced down when he realized one hand was warmer than the other finding their hands intertwined. Just the simple gesture of Yuuri holding his hand even when he was asleep was incredibly cute to Viktor and he couldn't help the swell of warmth in his chest that mimicked their hands.
For the next hour Yuuri watched the sky and Viktor watched Yuuri, both equally content. The plane landed smoothly in Malpensa Airport, Viktor's head feeling heavy as he stood. The plane was almost empty since he had suggested to Yuuri that they wait for a bit; Planes were always a bit chaotic once landed.
Yuuri and Viktor took their time getting their carry on, the flight attendants watching patiently as they stepped down the steps of the plane and onto the runway, and made their way to the airport easily thanks to the path laid out by traffic cones.
The Airport was full of people getting on and off planes, the loud chatter seemed to put Yuuri in a bit of a panic, but he couldn't bring himself to tell Viktor. Their hands were tightly wound together as they squeezed through the crowd, Viktor and Yuuri's sunglasses seeming to be strangely well disguises; they both didn't professionally skate anymore, but that didn't mean they didn't still have fans.
Making it safely through the crowd and into a taxi was the best part of both of their days. As the Taxi's door shut it was quiet and both men let out a sigh of relief, it felt like the longest day of their lives.
The hotel they were staying at was beautiful, a warm atmosphere greeting them as they entered the lobby. Red, glossy brick lay across the floor in rows, an off white wall complementing its pigment. An end table littered with magazines sat in between two wooden arm chairs, a tall potted plant behind the one nearest to the door. Across from the chairs was the front desk, decorated with a lamp and a few brochures stacked neatly.
The man behind the front desk greeted them in Italian and then in english after neither of them had responded to his first attempt at a pleasantry. Yuuri wasn't as good at english as Viktor was, but he was still able to understand most of what the man was saying. After they were checked in they brought their suitcases up to the room the Grand Prix had booked for them.
The ceiling in their room was huge with lights lining the walls about halfway up. A large queen sized bed was centered on the wall opposite of a door that lead to a currently unknown place. A couch was on one side of the door while a dresser rested on the other side. Both sides of the bed held an end table with a lamp on it, the only difference being one side had a vase of flowers. The bathroom sat next to a fireplace that was on the same side as the couch and the flowerless end table.
"This room is beautiful." Yuuri commented and sat delicately on the bed, wishing not to wrinkle the perfectly laid out duvet.
"It IS a junior suite." Viktor stated while chuckling and sat next to Yuuri, his arm making its way along Yuuri's shoulder and resting there. The two gazed out the door in front of them that from their current position seemed to lead to a balcony, causing Yuuri to be curious of its view. Yuuri stood, Viktor standing as well, and made his way to the door, opening it carefully and stepping out into the nights chilling air.
The twelve hour flight had left them exhausted and had turned the sky dark, bringing about a star filled sky and crisp night air that would make anyone breathless. Yuuri wrapped his hands around his arms, a small shiver running through him.
Viktor placed both his hands on Yuuri's hips and brought him close, His warmth causing Yuuri to sigh in comfort. One of Viktors hands traveled up to Yuuri's chin, turning it to the side and raising it so he could place a gentle kiss on his lips.
The light sensation also warmed Yuuri as one of Yuuri's hands moved up to caress the side of Viktor's face, his smooth pale cheek fitting perfectly into Yuuri's cupped hand. Their lips rested against one another's, motionless and tender, the moon giving little light due to the thin clouds blanketing it. The couple stayed there for as long as they could, the cold becoming a bit too much to bear, before finally going inside to warm up and finally sleep after their long day.
