The Exhibition Gala began at 2:30 pm which gave Viktor and Yuuri enough time to sleep in. Viktor woke up before Yuuri around 12:17 PM; He ordered room service to bring up some food for the two. Yuuri was still asleep when the food arrived so Viktor shook his shoulder lightly."Babe wake up, I ordered us food." Viktor whispered to a barely awake Yuuri. Yuuri groaned and sat up slowly his eyes half open as he yawned quietly. The smell of room service seemed to be a better alarm than Viktor because Yuuri immediately crawled off the bed and went to the food. Viktor laughed sweetly as he watched Yuuri lazily remove the metal lid off one of the plates and place it to the side of the tray.
Viktor slid down the bed to where the food had been left on a cart. Removing the lid off his plate, he joined Yuuri in their mid day meal. When they had finished eating in silence Viktor called for the cart to be taken away. At 1:21 pm they decided to take a shower together to save time, much to Yuuri's disappointment they didn't have time for a bath. Once they were out and dressed in their suits, Viktor admiring Yuuri from the foot of the bed as he tied his tie.
"I'm so lucky." Viktor stated causing Yuuri to blush. Yuuri sauntered over to Viktor, standing in front of him. Viktor reached his hands out and placed them on Yuuri's hips as Yuuri wrapped his arms around Viktor's neck.
"I could say the same." Yuuri smiled and placed a kiss on the tip of Viktor's nose. Viktor laughed again and smiled back up at Yuuri, the happiness he felt seeming to reflect in his eyes. Viktor stood, his hands lingering on Yuuri's hips before falling slowly. Yuuri took Viktors hand and they both left their room, completely unprepared for what could happen, but ready to face it together.
They climbed into a cab Viktor had called for and gave the driver the ice rink rinks location.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No no no. we were wrong. I was wrong. I don't want to be here.
Yuuri looked around frantically as people around him chatted casually. Viktor's arm was looped around his as Yuuri pressed himself into Viktor's arms, Trying to shrink.
"Sh, it's ok love, I promise." Viktors hushed and gentle tone, put a little ease into Yuuri's heart, but not enough to ease his mind.
Home. Home. Wanna go home.
People approached Viktor and spoke with him happily, attempting to converse with Yuuri as well, But ultimately getting rejected by his lack of words. Viktor sighed and looked down at Yuuri
"I'll take you back if you like." Viktor offered, his face full of worry along with his voice. Yuuri was about to respond when Viktor's name was suddenly called. "Chris?"
"There is the old man." Chris smiled and shook Viktors hand politely.
"What are you doing here?" Viktor asked and Chris sighed.
"I was supposed to judge with you, but my flight was canceled so I had to take a later one and they just had me judge the ladies free-skate. Viktor nodded and the banter between the two continued. Yuuri shifted uncomfortably next to Viktor, glancing at the clock whenever he could; 2 hours left.
Yuuri's fidgeting caught Chris's attention and he smiled at the smaller man. "Yuuri! It's been forever! How have you been?" The question seemed to throw off Yuuri and he simply nodded his head at Chris. The confusion on Chris's face made Yuuri feel more awkward, causing him to drop his gaze to the floor.
"Yuuri and I are going to get some drinks." Viktor motioned to the catering table and Chris complied to his polite way of ending their conversation.
Viktor handed Yuuri a glass of water once they had reached the table along with getting one for himself; he ultimately decided alcohol was not the best thing for either of them at the moment. "Viktor!" Another call of his name sent a shock of annoyance though him. Viktor began another conversation with someone, his eyes drifting to Yuuri occasionally to make sure he was ok.
Yuuri sipped his water delicately, his mind racing with the loud and different sounds all around him. Viktor was occupied which left Yuuri alone with his thoughts, not exactly the best thing to do ever at this point. Viktor's voice seemed to be drowned out by the many other voices in the room and panic suddenly rose in Yuuri's chest. Looking in Viktor's direction, Yuuri saw his lips move, but he couldn't hear him; It was all becoming white noise.
Static...
white noise...
it's loud...
it hurts...
I can't hear...
I can't hear..
I can't hear.
I can't hear!
I CAN'T BREATHE.Yuuri made an immediate beeline to the bathroom that was conveniently empty which he was directed to by a sign. He clambered into a stall and locked it, putting the toilets lid down and sitting on it. He took in heavy breathes, releasing them just as fast as they entered.
This is too much. Definitely too much. I wasn't prepared. Definitely not prepared.
"Yuuri?" A voice broke through his thoughts and Yuuri jumped at the sound.
Viktor? Viktor!
Yuuri opened his stall door and was engulfed in Viktors arms, the sudden action stirring the emotions in him causing tears to fall.
"Yuuri? Yuuri honey what's wrong? What happe-"
"I couldn't hear you! Your voice was gone! And... And suddenly all the voices became noise and your voice was lost in the noise and you were gone Viktor! you were gone!" Yuuri sobbed into Viktor's shoulder as his hands grasped the taller mans suit jacket.
"Yuuri I'm here. I promise I didn't go anywhere and I definitely won't leave you by yourself again." Viktor pulled back and wiped Yuuri's tears with his thumb, placing a kiss on his forehead after. Yuuri's breathing calmed down as his grip also loosened on Viktor's jacket.
"Alright, let's head back out there. I will not let go of your arm this time, alright?" Viktor held his arm out to Yuuri."
"You won't leave me?"
"I promise you I won't leave you."
You won't leave me Viktor... I'm glad I came with him to Italy. even if I had hated coming to the rink, the shopping and restaurants were fun. Viktor has been nothing but sweet to me this entire trip and I'm so happy to have him by my side again. I know Viktor won't leave me again.
I'll make sure of it...
